First check your hosting do the needful, if it is slow nothing can make your website speed fast. After then check the bigger images in your webpage that is increasing the time of loading of the webpage. After reducing the image size you need to minify the JS and CSS files in the website. Be careful while doing these activities, do take a backup before proceeding with any changes.

simply get a freelancer doing this for you its really in most cases a pretty easy job to do. As well as don't expect magical things to happen when you reach the 100 score

1. Use CDN
2. Use load balancing
3. Use less 3rd party scripts/css, host them internally, you don’t want your user to stuck cause of your webpage tries to load external scripts/css
4. Use caching effectively
5. Use lazy load on image assets
6. If possible, reduce scripts sizes by compressing them, use minified version, note that compressing scripts can cause issues
7. Use better hosting with high speed up/dl, preferably with ssd storage
there are a bunch of tools online where you can check how your website is performing and they will give you a bunch of suggestions on how to improve your page speed load.

Remove all heavy elements from the site, unnecessary plugins, add-ons, libraries, and so on. Don't use more than 3 different fonts on the site, check images and work on their optimization, as their size shouldn't be bigger than 150KB. Videos should be embedded from third-party servers and not be placed on the site itself.

Besides the obvious and very good advice you've received here already, some things help too, like optimizing the fonts you're using with Font Squirrel, erasing the characters you don't need and such
