Optimize your images (imagify is good) I haven't yet used ewww.io but no doubt it works too.
WP Rocket plugin, check the downloads section as Festinger has generously provided it for free.
Try to use a lightweight theme
Get rid of any plugins you don't need. There is a guide on here somewhere about plugins that slow sites down.
Simple steps that any beginner can do!
