Hey guys, I’m here asking you if you have some tips on how to genuinely start reading and absorbing the information provided. I bought some self improvement, mindset and money related books a long time ago and they are still sitting on my shelf as I can’t even start reading tem. I started reading “The psychology of money”, finished the book in half and never came back to it. I remember that I was an enjoying a bit reading it as I went to the beach sometimes alone to read it (also to get some time alone and help with my mental health). Now I just putted it back in my shelf and have another one in my bedside table waiting for me to have the courage to start reading it. I don’t know if it is my ADHD (just assuming I was never diagnosed) or my fried dopamine levels that I sometimes get lost reading or just don’t have the will to read large texts (that happens with tiktok slideshows or even here) as well as I notice that I don’t absorb and store as much information on the book (or anything in general). Also as I write this I was getting a bit lost and my eyes were all switching back and forth.
I really wanted to implement the habit of reading in my life since I know that I cannot talk or write pretty well (as you guys can tell).
