How many months does it usually take to rank a new website? My main keyword is ahrefs KD 22. The long tail keyword is already ranked.

For keyword with ahrefs KD 22 -> 45 -60 working days however depends on couple other factors too.

Min time required to be site to be rank well and get stable would around 6mon. depends on what SEO strategies you use..
 
6-12 months I would say also depending on quality of your content

How long did it take you to rank the longtail?

There's not exactly a set time frame. How many backlinks are you building? Is your content better than the pages currently ranking? Searchers intent is very important.

Answering those questions will rank you faster.
 
Generally speaking, there are no time frames, if you push harder, it will rank sooner. But there is the sandbox too and it is best not to hit that filter, so take it slow and make a 6 months target to rank for difficult keywords.

In the meantime, you are already ranking for long tails, so just keep targeting more longtails and grow your site slowly.
 
It depends on the vertical, keywords and who are your competitors.

It took about a month. Based on ahrefs, DR 26, UR 40, backlink All Time 4.3K, Ref. domais 1.5K
 
It typically takes several months to over a year to rank a new website, especially for moderately competitive keywords like yours (KD 22). Keep focusing on SEO and building quality content to improve your chances…it's a marathon, not a sprint.
 
no one can give you 100% perfect time line. because there are so many thing which matters.
but if you do you job properly then generally it take 4 to 5 months max. maybe less.
