Generally speaking, there are no time frames, if you push harder, it will rank sooner. But there is the sandbox too and it is best not to hit that filter, so take it slow and make a 6 months target to rank for difficult keywords.

In the meantime, you are already ranking for long tails, so just keep targeting more longtails and grow your site slowly.
