Hello I am planning to create some videos for Tiktok or Youtube shorts, I have not decided yet. The idea is that I want to sell the accounts after getting them to 10k for example.

I got few questions:

1-Which platform is easier to achieve this with?
2- Does the account creation location matter? for example US vs Europe
3- Which accounts have more value on market, Youtube or Tiktok?

Thank you for your input.

Tiktok is definitely the easier to achieve between the two.

Honestly, both TikTok and YouTube Shorts are great for short-form content, but it really depends on what you're aiming for.

TikTok’s like that cool, fast-paced party where everyone’s dancing, and you can blow up overnight if you nail the latest trends. But just remember, trends move FAST – blink, and you might miss them.

YouTube Shorts, on the other hand, is like that reliable friend who's been around for a while. You’ve already got the YouTube audience infrastructure, so if you’re already a YouTuber, you’re kinda sitting on a goldmine here. Plus, YouTube’s algorithm is like a fine wine – it ages well and serves your content over time.

If you want quick virality and younger audiences, TikTok is your jam. But for longevity and possibly better ad revenue (YouTube pays better, let’s be real), then Shorts is where it's at.

Try both though – who said you can’t have your cake and eat it too?

I would say tiktok but sometimes seems like you are getting limited in your reach but if is good content you will get a lot of followers and I feel more difficult to get a single viral video on tiktok not imposible but difficult and sometimes lucky, youtube is weird you can get one or two really good videos not viral but really good then sometimes your views get flat is weird or you reach a limit there are pros and cons with both but I feel that is easier youtube.

tiktok is still much more widely-used by almost everyone so do it there :)

Tiktok can help you achieve your goals faster

If quick growth is your main goal TT has an algorithm which can boost accounts faster. But if you're after consistent engagement Shorts could offer better long-term value.

TikTok is a bit easier to go viral than YouTube honestly.

  1. Which platform is easier to achieve this with?
TikTok tends to be easier for gaining followers quickly, thanks to its algorithm that promotes videos based on engagement. YouTube Shorts also has potential, but it may require more time and effort to grow an audience, especially for niche topics. Overall, TikTok can be faster to reach 10k.
  2. Does the account creation location matter?
Yes, location can matter, especially in terms of engagement. Accounts created in the US often have better reach due to the algorithm favoring content based on region. However, if you're targeting a specific audience, consider creating accounts in regions that match your target demographic. A US-based account is usually more valuable for Western markets.
  3. Which accounts have more value on the market, YouTube or TikTok?
TikTok accounts generally have higher value on the market due to their quicker growth potential and high engagement rates, especially for influencers or those looking to get viral attention. YouTube accounts, while potentially more valuable for long-term income, typically require more effort to build up (especially due to monetization policies and guidelines).
In conclusion, TikTok might be the better platform for quick growth and resale, but YouTube could be more valuable in the long term if you're building for sustained engagement.

1- TikTok is generally easier to grow quickly.
2- Yes, location can affect growth and engagement.
3- TikTok accounts tend to have higher value.
