Tik Tok views stuck? Changed algoritm? More questions than answers

It's almost always bad to spam posts for new accounts. It's still not recommended but you'll have better success with a lot of posts on aged accounts, consider getting those instead and spread out your uploads over the day. You'll need to check your connection environment too.
what do you mean by connection environment? and how does tiktok look at when username is changed and also if the content gets different, my plan would be to use the old successful account and slowly try to change the content to fit what i need (not planning to switch audience just editing style)

Your connection environment like your IPs, the information your phone has that TikTok can read (and they can read a lot of it), your GPS, those sort of things. They fingerprint phones after all. Unless they changed it, TikTok has always been able to read device IMEIs. While they claim to not collect it, they can see it. Make of that what you will.

TikTok will recommend view to users which have similar viewing preferences with you. So if you want to get more views, you should watch more and more videos which target to your niche.
TikTok recommend level:
Your followers > Users have similar viewing preferences > Users near your location > Random users

At first pool, they will drive your video to random hundred users, if your video got good reactions (finish rate, likes, comments, share...). They will drive video to next traffic pool.
Your video should good also :D

Hi,

I encounter the same problem on tik tok.
A few months ago, I was getting millions of views on at least 1 video per day, now I can't even get 10,000 views on 1 video.
I think the algorithm has changed unfortunately...

Yeah same, even though I just started my account. My first 3 videos have over 500 views and the next 2 videos not even breaking 5 views haha. What gives?

Is it original content?

Your content is not good enought to get views, or your account has low trust score on tiktok ( you should use aged email when registering, turn off location services, clean metadata if reposting and so on)
how to clean metadata

Update:
After uploading 15 video (1 per day) it still isn't passing the 300 views. My only question remains of how long does this last and will it be for indefinite on this account.
Tested uploading videos on an old account (different phone) with changed username and deleted all old videos. I'm getting 500 views max. (last clips had 100k views).

New limit on tiktok video.
Look pretty the same as youtube 301 few years ago.
Maybe you can try to buy views to video? Just 1000 views to bypass 300 zone.
Hey does buying views like help tiktok push it out more?

This is pretty much what I joined this site to talk about- the abysmal views for me on the last 4 days. I have over 81K followers & normal views for me are roughly 1100-2000+/ post. The last few days they've totally nosedived. They struggle to get to 400 views. Something is def' off. I tried posting an old video that previously did really well- flopped.
Some have theorized that TT is pushing TikTok Shop over anything else. Makes sense, but it sucks.

Anyone else getting a sudden/recent significant drop in views?

Hi
Started a tiktok account and first five videos totally flopped and got stuck around 300 (first one got 800views). All the videos are 100% optimized for virality as I had previous success with very similar editing style. Content type is a short comedy skit and it promotes an app, very subtle and not direct, so it's not a regular ad. clean edits and fast cuts (up to 30sec clips and shorter). I have 4 accounts that got successful and usually it's the first video that gets pushed right away. Everything I've done so far was on 1 IP and 1 android phone, those didn't target US audience but performed well in my country, one account had viral videos in US as well (no us sim/no proxy).

1. I use an iphone with US sim. No proxies. My IP is europe.
2. My username has AI in it. Is this triggering the algo to not trust the account?
3. Is tik tok now seriously favoring long form content and doesn't push first video like couple of months ago.
4. Account was warmed up for a week.

Have I made a mistake of not starting with proxies in the first place? I've read here some conflicting views one say you only need us sim, other say you need proxies as well. So what is the correct answer here?
If anyone has some kind of explanation or way to fix this let me know.
I feel like tiktok is promoting slide videos recently and it's trending quite a lot, I think you should try it too.

Same happening to everyone. So it first gets the video to 300, if it gets more than 20-30% likes it gets boosted to 800 views, if that gets enough engagement then it can potentially go above 10k and more. TT has changed the SEO so it's harder to categorize new videos. It is super annoying and no one has real solution. It is 100% promoting the shop more and ads

VERY annoying indeed! I have so much good, fun material I want to post but don’t want to waste it on sh*t views.
I experimented and uploaded an old tv commercial that I knew would appeal to a specific demographic…& THAT managed to get to the fyp w. currently over 4000 views. Then I uploaded an older one I did several months back that did fairly well….flopped.

Hoping this will settle down and go back to something resembling normal. Meantime, I’m gonna hold off on posting my good stuff.

Posting too many videos at a time will probably make your videos buried in TikTok. As you know, there are lots of videos being posted on TikTok every day. If users don't click on your homepage to watch videos but scroll across the recommended page, your multiple videos probably can't be viewed.
How many videos do you post per day?

sounds like a possible shadow ban view drop .
