Hi
Started a tiktok account and first five videos totally flopped and got stuck around 300 (first one got 800views). All the videos are 100% optimized for virality as I had previous success with very similar editing style. Content type is a short comedy skit and it promotes an app, very subtle and not direct, so it's not a regular ad. clean edits and fast cuts (up to 30sec clips and shorter). I have 4 accounts that got successful and usually it's the first video that gets pushed right away. Everything I've done so far was on 1 IP and 1 android phone, those didn't target US audience but performed well in my country, one account had viral videos in US as well (no us sim/no proxy).

1. I use an iphone with US sim. No proxies. My IP is europe.
2. My username has AI in it. Is this triggering the algo to not trust the account?
3. Is tik tok now seriously favoring long form content and doesn't push first video like couple of months ago.
4. Account was warmed up for a week.

Have I made a mistake of not starting with proxies in the first place? I've read here some conflicting views one say you only need us sim, other say you need proxies as well. So what is the correct answer here?
If anyone has some kind of explanation or way to fix this let me know.

Posting too many videos at a time will probably make your videos buried in TikTok. As you know, there are lots of videos being posted on TikTok every day. If users don't click on your homepage to watch videos but scroll across the recommended page, your multiple videos probably can't be viewed.

Your content is not good enought to get views, or your account has low trust score on tiktok ( you should use aged email when registering, turn off location services, clean metadata if reposting and so on)

TikTok is pushing slide videos. Try it.

Im posting once a day on that account

unfortunately no one has the right answer yet. I have the same problem and started a thread too.

I give you my situation so maybe we can find what causes it.

I use an iphone with 3-4 accounts. Same IP, no proxies. All the videos stuck at 250-300 (one at 1000) on all the accounts.
Tried to login to an old account with tens of thousands of followers and views... published a new video and the same is stuck at 300.

i tried to hard reset the phone and nothing changed.

I want to avoid a mobile proxy because it's $100+/month for every single account and usually limited GB data..

maybe the problem is the IP but i have no idea honestly. A lot of people got stuck at 250 views and no one really managed to fix that problem.

New limit on tiktok video.
Look pretty the same as youtube 301 few years ago.
Maybe you can try to buy views to video? Just 1000 views to bypass 300 zone.

Yeah i'm having issues as of the last few days. Created my account about a month ago. I have roughly 16k followers in that time. Most of them from 2 videos that went "semi viral." Using the same exact format that I used from day one, my newly published videos hover between 150-300 views, then take multiple hours to climb and rarely one or 2 of them per day will get to 1k+ views. But it takes a while.

Saw your topic, I think we have the same problem. I also want to avoid proxies because of the high costs, if someone here can confirm that the iphone/us sim/us proxy method works (tried this month on a new accounts and his first video got viral) I will try that as well. Not sure what is happening behind the scenes but algorithm has changed 100% for the worse. Had 5 accounts and first video always got viral, no matter the quality of the edit, last time I posted on there was 2 months ago and got 100k views in a day on the stupidest video ever. Now I'm in a different situation and i'm working with a client that wants to blow up his product and this is what's happening. Tried the same set of videos on youtube and the irony is that it performed slightly better than tiktok (1 short got 2.7k views lol). Also looking into posting on pinterest but it's not even close to tt.

I don't know if there's a possibility that our IP got blocked, because i created a new account on a different IP/ different phone yesterday. 1st video got stuck at 800. Same deal. So it must be the algorithm, now the question is how to bypass it.

There is one thing I've noticed, when I posted my first video I used a description where text had a work "manifestation" (this video got stuck at 800views) and all of a sudden a lot of manifestation videos started showing up, even though my account has nothing to do with that niche and also a lot of 0 views spam videos started to appear on FYP the same day. I didn't use hashtag with that word, it was just written in the video description and added appropriate tags.

Hope that we find a solution together

edit: this is a cool video but again it doesn't solve the issue: youtube. com/watch?v=Y5rrhNzxuLM

Exactly the same thing is happening to me. So non of the newly published videos got viral even with constant posting for a month it's always stuck at 300views?

i can tell that description is not the problem. most of the times i don't put any word or tag, i just leave it empty.

Also i did an hard reset to the phone and entered in one account where i never posted anything (but created before the hard reset), and videos get stuck at 800 views (instead of 300 like all other account).
But yeah it is a real problem.

Very interesting.

For me it's the exact same numbers. 250-300 and one at 1000.

Is it some sort of a holdback for specific accounts, by TikTok?

Maybe they flag IPs now with specific parameters and if the IP ever was suspicious, then they will simply flag all accounts?

No it's not that, I have 3 phones, and run many accounts on different phones. I have problems on certain accounts, and no problems on others. The problem being breaking that 200-300 threshold. So it's really random, has a lot to do with engagement on previous posts on said account, along with engagement on early minutes of each new video you post.

did you manage to get at least one video to pass 300 views (+2000views) on those accounts? Or are we stuck on 300 till indefinitely

don't stop uploading. That's the only way. The more you upload the higher chance you bypass 300 views.
I upload 10 videos, 4 videos under 300 views, 2 videos under 1000 views, 3 videos under 100 views and 1 video under 3000 views.
It's random.

Another question:

How many views you get overall per day (on those accounts that have 200-300 limit)?

i uploaded 6 videos, each with 200-300 views and got 1.5k views overall.

After that all my videos that i uploaded got 0 views.

What is the 3 second rule in TikTok?

The first three seconds of every video need to be interesting enough to stop someone from swiping past. Not only are the first three seconds a make-or-break moment, but also the TikTok algorithm will push your content to more “For You” pages if the first few viewers watch for more than three seconds.
Trending music + first 3 second rule

Search this on Google "Auction_Ads_Creative_Tips" you can find .pdf file from TikTok, try read this. Maybe can help.

It's almost always bad to spam posts for new accounts. It's still not recommended but you'll have better success with a lot of posts on aged accounts, consider getting those instead and spread out your uploads over the day. You'll need to check your connection environment too.

The same thing happens on genuine accounts in the US so it's not a device or proxy issue. Tiktok just isn't making it easy to get your content out there. If you look at view time, there's probably a sharp dropoff a few seconds in. The audience doesn't like your content. Either you need to improve the content or help tiktok send your content to an audience more likely to want your content.

The view counts discussed here are a dead giveaway that you're not passing the thresholds to go out to a larger audience. If tiktok really had an issue with your IP or device, you would have zero views or views limited to your followers.
