Do you know what I've always liked about these 'About You' or 'introduction' sections of a forum? It really makes you think about who you are. Not just in your own eyes and impression. But also how others really see you. And how you want others to see you.

So I think, it's really mostly about all the filtered and carefully placed information or attributes you want others to see, rather than a full evaluation or even a poorly-knit approximation of what it means to be 'you'.

"Hello World", prints the black command screen of BHW as I type some words into this box, attempting to define who or what I am.

I am a writer. I am a thinker. I am a consumer.

A consumer of words and ideas. I am also a merchant. A merchant of words and ideas.

Too dry of an introduction? Well, if you think so.

Hey everyone. I am promiscuss and I am here to learn about what it means to be a successful writer on the internet. And not just learn what it means, but to make money out of it. More importantly, help people find out their voice through my words and process.

Youre promiscuous? Welcome promiscuous :D
Well, I've always been fascinated with how one word can mean something and then another, given if you keep changing the context and its usage. So, for me, promiscuity would mean being unselective. I have had half a lifetime of being indifferent to feelings and abstract concepts around me. Hence, the name stuck with me for so long.

And then again, to avoid being confused with the usual meaning of promiscuous, I played with the words a little and made it promiscuss.

Good job trying to showcase your writing skills with your intro post. Wait for a couple of months and make 100 posts, then you'll be able to upgrade to Jr. VIP and open your own marketplace thread.
Good luck.

As the general newbie behavior rule, people often lurk longer than they're supposed to. And even then, don't try to break in and ask for what they want. My early teen years were heavily influenced by this book called The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. If you want something, ask for it. And ask for it bad. The universe may just conspire everything to make it work in your favor.

Thanks for the tip about making 100 posts. I'll think and plan about what I want to post here. Of course, I do not want to dump the forum with generic, low-quality stuff that doesn't help me generate anything later on. Be it, followers, or clients. Again, thank you, kind stranger.
