You're right. Even though people like that guy make it easier to find clients (just look for the dilapidated, poorly-optimised website), they also make it harder to convince them to work with you since their experience with SEO (or even websites in some cases) has been negative.

The problem is that he can actually destroy a business. Have you ever seen what bad SEO can do to a standard mom and pop that is doing OK and just wanted a professional to take over? It can put them out of business. I've seen it many times. I've even had disabled older people who are desperate ask for help. It sucks. It's not a matter of hiring some shit SEO and then "oh well, it didn't work." It's a matter of destroying businesses.

Shame - shit like this gives the industry a bad name. The worse thing is the poor business owners who get sucked in and then are left with a mess.

I doubt if that clown can rank even his own name (including whatever, salutation, surname, address, zip, country, telephone number, his dog's name etc as the key phrase) on top of the 100th serp....

If you look at his YouTube videos, you can get an idea how he is "delivering" what he is "claiming" .... He is just ranking Youtube videos in Google for any city and keyword combination ... such as "Houston los mejores doctores" and "Houston los mejores dentistas" ... That may be enough to impress some clients who do not know about keyword competition.

And, this technique is used by many SEOs. But for sure, he needs to have a better copy and refrain from spamming other SEOs. And, his videos are definitely crap
