The Ultimate Amazon Thread Mark 2 - Q/A - Good/Bad

That's a good question -- here is my personal opinion ... the 90 day cookie requires them to make an extra step - Amazon asks permission to add to their cart ... now people realize they can just go straight to Amazon and that's a turn off to now take the extra step ... also if they go and click another affiliate in the 90 days you run the risk of losing the Sale anyway.

So what I do is this - I target buying keywords relentlessly - so that if they do come to my Site they are motivated to buy within 24 hours - and using the original cookie works for me - they hit Amazon and anything they order I get paid on ... so for me I build sites to take advantage of this - or to target this ... if you use the other cookie - then you need a whole new approach.

As far as cellphones go - my answer is the same as always - electronics are a bad business for these Sites - commissions are capped and you need real volume to make money.... these items are constantly restricted by various rules - so yeah I sell them from other sites - but I would never sit down and make a site targeted at anything electronic or where commissions are low .. its a waste of time.

Yeah anyone with an Authority Site - needs to come up with their own answers - your dealing with alot of factors that just don't come into play for me..... so your going to have to do your own testing and probably follow another way of thinking ... as Google can be relentless in how they rank Sites.

Thanks for sharing all the knoledge and tips guys :) going to read the whole thing when I have more time and see if I feel confident enough to give it a go :)

Great read. Loved reading this thread

I've created two sites so far.

The first one has 9 articles and has generated two sales.

The second site has three articles so far, but I am currently working on the theme.

Does anyone who what wordpress plugin creates review modules like these that I can insert into my site? What plugin is this.jpg

Well I was hoping for a little more feedback from some of you guys getting involved ... so hopefully we can get some more info - to give me something to focus on.

i have a stupid question that i want to ask :D can my AMZ account get banned if i use about 20 AMZ account in the same IP ?
did anybody get banned because of this reason ?

If you mean Sites or Affiliate ID's you should have no problem.

But if you have 20 Fake Amazon Affiliate Accounts all Tied to 1 IP - then yeah your likely to get all 20 banned.

I don't target Electronics at all .. That Site targets Outdoor Home Products ... and people buy multiple items usually.

at the moment though I see alot of home security/lighting items being bought....... heck I don't mention it here but I also
see alot of Adult Toys being bought while people are shopping for other stuff .. people seem to enjoy shopping while being
anonymous ... once you have been in this a while - I'm sure you will see those type of Sales as well.

Nice bonus, I'd say... considering many of them are in the range of 100-200 bucks.

I don't want to have an in depth discussion on Adult Toys -- because I certainly never set out to sell them ... But you are going to sell some if you stay in this long enough -- People buy that stuff its just a fact .... its like me selling Laptops and Ipad Accessories - I don't target those either but I still get Sales from them.

There just are certain categories on Amazon where people buy multiple items when they shop - because you need several things to get started or use them -- then there are categories where 1 item is all they ever buy ..... anyway I don't want to get into an in depth discussion on this type of thing .... as you generate more Sales - get more sites - you will figure it out.

Cheers.

Lol. I mean security systems, not the other thing. Cheers.

I target electronic myself. Conversion rate is way lower than you guys, but i still manage to make decent money.

@danny: Oddly, I haven't sold any home security product. People tend to buy a lot of books though, almost everyday I see sales either on physical book or kindle one.

Danny, where do you shoot your links? All to homepage? Or how do you distribute them between home page and inner pages?

Seems Pretty Basic Seo To Me : a .TXT File with all the Pages of your Site

then just vary the anchor as needed for each page as you link them .. most software allow you to do this.

Another Basic Question I was asked by PM - where to I buy Amazon Reviews From -- simple write them yourself -- or try different writers - WF has plenty of people selling good Amazon Product Reviews - but you actually have to search them out...... I have always recommended developing your own Template that you like after looking at how others do it - then just give it to a writer and tell them this is how you expect it done.

If you just tell a writer to provide a review of X .. then it may not come out how you want it.

It's not basic when you get into details. I was looking at percentage if you have used one.

For authority site, links to the homepage are 15-40% of the total links for the site. I don't know about 8-page sites.

2-3 weeks ago I purchased WPZonBuilder
Its really an amazing plugin, allowing to pull of hundreds/thousands of amazon products + description + images, really easy to use & awesome :D

Haven't earned anything from it yet, but just started using it yesterday

if someone used it + SEO let me know what your experiences were

It's a great plugin, but if you use it to build autoblogs nowadays, I must say it is a short term strategy.

Tested a few sites with it, without any SEO, traffic is low to none. You still need to promote. And with 100% duplicate content, the chance is very slim or you have to build stronger links.

I suggest you combine it with unique content. Let WPZonBuilder turns some posts into Amazon product pages (and update them every so often so information is accurate).
