The Ultimate Amazon Thread Mark 2 - Q/A - Good/Bad

Coming back to the thread - I just wanted to add -- there's no right way and wrong way when it comes to Content -- I just do it the way I do because that's how I have been doing it -- But If you want to start with 10 or more I don't see the issue .. and in fact it could move you along faster.

The only reason I stick to my way - is like I said some sites just don't work out - so I keep the investment in Time as low as possible until I know its going to sell.

I've seen some good Sales of Security Systems the last few days .. Obviously related to events around the US. .... Systems, lighting , internal , external .. Pretty much everything.

Similar to Sales I saw for hurricane preparation.

I was thinking about the same thing when I opened to see yesterdays sales :)
Good luck!

Today's Report a bunch of $50-$160 items Outdoor Sports Stuff - Kitchen Things and Home Accessories for making your House look better.

I wrote in another thread somewhere but I think its worth mentioning here as well.

Since I started IM knowing next to nothing - I've made over $120,000 from Affiliate Sales/CPA/Client Seo Income.

Just using rough numbers CPA $30,000 Affiliate Sales $45,000 and Client Seo $60,000

If I actually sat and figured it all out its probably even more than that ........ so if your reading this thread and you haven't done anything to this point .... you can make money online

But You Got To Pick One Thing - and Get Moving With It -- Otherwise you will get stuck in the Cycle of Failure -- and no-one wants that.

Good Hunting .. Cheers

Hi Danny,

Thanks a lot for creating this thread and share your experience and all the useful stuff here. I have decided to create Amazon sites and I am about to start my research process. I need to know more about keyword research. You mentioned in several posts in this thread that Keyword Squire is a good keyword tool for that, while there are some other keyword tools, what do you suggest to a newbie like me? Which other keyword tool would you suggest? Second question is related to the type of keywords. For example, if I promote a product "wireless router", should I use keywords that have brand name in them like ABC Wireless router or should I use the general term like best wireless router??

Will wait for your reply. Thanks for sharing such a valuable info here.

Well you can make your Site however you like :

If you want to review Model : 20812b Linksys Wireless Router for example thats fine - just don't buy a domain with the brand name in it.

I personally don't target brand names - because I'm looking to solve people's problems when they search for something.

Take me for example - I'm always looking for Ipad Accessories - so before I buy anything I always read reviews about these products because there are thousands of products and I want to know which is best - what features it has and how long it would last.

This is how I designed my Sites - because from reading alot of peoples comments I tend to have less content than most - but what I do is really focus on certain parts of products so I rank for that - and subsequently get traffic really targeted at specific things ...... but if you want to create a bigger site I certainly understand.

As far as keyword research you can contact the software owners and discuss with them - watch their YouTube videos and take their trials to figure it out ---- It honestly is not fair to anyone if I just tell you exactly all the things I look at specifically ..... you can use whatever settings you want.

Also you have to remember these numbers are not set in concrete - we are dealing with buying traffic - and buying traffic runs in cycles - its not consistent and keyword tool numbers are only updated once or twice a year.

I want to discuss one thing so people can actually get a better understanding of how things work.

Right now I'm looking at 2 words I rank Page 1 for in different niches .. If I look at the Top 10 Sites

They are : Mine / Consumer Reports / About / Amazon / Brand Name Site and a couple of my properties supporting my main Site

the next keyword :

My Site / Home Depot / Amazon / Couple of Brand Names / Small Chain Store

So What I am Saying is building a 100 Page Site to Rank for the Same Words is not working for other people competing with me .. nor are any other review/informational sites on Page 1

What I do relies on Google Traffic and is specifically meant to work that way -- when you make 1 larger site to cover multiple things the results aren't going to be the same - so keep that in mind.

Cheers

Does anyone have insight to info about Amazon Associates reporting and daily earnings trends? Like certain days of the week being very low, or any important less-known information about Amazon Associates reporting?

Well I think that you can rnak for the same words in a good manner.

Let's say you rank for '' HD TV under 1000''

You want to rank for '' HD TV under 800'' as well, since you're targeting a different audience.

I'm building my site around that concept. Let me know what you think

Thats not really what I'm talking about though.

Lets say you make a Site Called review.com .. the number 1 review site for all things

You dump 100 non related reviews about products in all sorts of niches -- how are you going to outrank me with that type of site ??

and that's what I'm talking about looking at some of my sites this morning ... on Page 1 its really me and other Big Site Owners -- there are no other review sites or informational sites on Page 1

... so my point is - its easy to say I'm going to create a SuperStore of Information -- but you also have to figure out the most basic of issues - how to rank them.

I agree. You must prove to Google that you're an expert in your domain. It's a matter of trust I believe.

exactly -- and I am not saying what is better longer term .. but what I'm saying don't get the idea that you can create some large site and makes lots of money-- there is more to it than that.

As I said looking at some of the things I'm targeting -- there really is no-one else competing with me for what I do.

Whether its trust / keyword selection / content or other factors .... you have to consider where your site is going to compete and how Google views it.... especially if your monetizing with Amazon only.

Anyway that's my 2 cents for today - you guys can figure out how you want to run your business and what works for you.... cheers.

Setting up the content part is killing me

Example keyword wedding dresses

I first write one articles targeting the keyword wedding dresses

Whats the other article about? Write articles based on answering visitor question?

Im planning to outsource the content part and Im sure if i give the writer a keyword and tell him to write 5 articles based on the keyword wedding dresses. i wont get what i want

Do I do keyword research for the main article and the other articles just focus on answering question and helping visitor without doing keyword research?

I guess i need some source of template made by myself

hahahahahahahaha --- there has got to be a million ideas for wedding dresses.

summer / winter / fall .. second marriage - first marriage -- based on size / weight / color -- holiday weddings - family weddings - literally there are thousands of ways to answer people's questions about wedding dresses for all occasions ... hell even write one for Vegas Weddings.

and yes - you got to research and get an idea of how you want the writer to write for you ... otherwise its never going to be what you want it to be.

heck you could even write articles about - protecting wedding dresses / storing wedding dresses .... I know nothing about wedding dresses -- but seems to me it had all kinds of things you could be doing.

the other thing you could do - is go to a wedding dress store - and ask them what are the most common things they get asked or problems they have to solve -- then answer them.

It's like me contacting companies for a review on my site and them sending me free samples -- sure I contacted 5 and only 1 followed through -- but that's ok -- they were happy and I was happy.

Ok I'll check back tomorrow .. all the best.

Yeppers, it looks like guys wanna nail that main KW but they don't bother working on long KW's which are easier to rank. I know camo wedding dresses are also a huge thing, and as you said there is like millions of different wedding dresses to target

I get what u guys r saying but I want to know if the other articles should be targeting a keyword as well

Using the wedding dresses example again

Should i be getting domain as weddingdresses.net or weddingdressesreviews.net

I guess it dont really matter cause both domain have the main keyword in it

I guess im just over looking at thing since i pretty much know what to do but just kinda nervou cause this is my frist time using Amazon and want everything to be perfect
