The Ultimate Amazon Thread Mark 2 - Q/A - Good/Bad

Can anyone recommend where to buy tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3 links? I don't want to buy some crappy fiverr gig that hurts my rankings.

IMO if you want cost effective links that carry some weight and want a high level of quality control you need to be involved in the process.

1. Outsource content writers to write content based on your niche ($3-$5 per article)
2. Read and edit this content to make it flow well and patch up any grammatical errors
3. Post this content to a web 2.0 site (free)
4. Buy social bookmarks or blog commenting service on fiverr or BHW to link to this 2.0 site. ($3-$10)
5. Rinse and repeat

Finally finished reading this whole thread. Found some good things I want to implement here. Thanks Danny and for the guys who also contributed to this thread.

Hi Danny, do you have any tactics to promote you site using social networks?

I have a few bots - and use some social sharing sites and thats it.

But I am not a Support Forum for Social Bot Use - check the BST area and speak directly with the makers - or their YouTube Videos.

Should I make multiple accounts? Also, how does this help rank my website?

Does it somehow link back?

Sorry for the noob questions.

Getting some Pretty Dumb questions - here's a question I get asked abit because people are pretty lazy more often than not.

* tell me how to make money with autoblogs

--> if you haven't noticed things on Google have undergone a major shake-up -- posting spun content/duplicate content/content that doesn't make sense - tends to doom your site in just a few months or less - and if you combine it with multiple offers and affiliate links - perhaps even faster.

I'm sure I'll get people saying - but I'm making money or its working for me -- > my answer to that is it is not a long term business strategy these days - so enter at your own risk.

How Google identifies the sites I have no idea - but once it is - it's done .... if you get manually reviewed then your really in trouble especially if they start checking other sites you own - you could lose the lot.

So for the 100th time - make sure your site is well organized and has great content - that's the safest way to proceed at this time.

Another point I should make too - I get asked alot for my opinion of something - is it good or bad etc etc

I give my answer to the best of my knowledge and works for me - If you ask someone else they may have a different answer and use it differently... and in fact their answer maybe better than mine.

So please always keep in mind there are 100 ways to do something or 100 templates that would work - or 100 pieces of software --> pretty much I've told you what I use but its your choice as to what you ultimately decide to use.

Thats why I ask people to post their honest feedback and opinions - so you can get more points of view than just mine.... wish everyone lots of success today .. cheers.

Hi Danny,

Can you tell us what kind of theme do you use for a best conversion?

Regards,

Ok I sent u a pm.

Also I would encourage anyone who has found other products/services that have helped them .. To post here so everyone can take a look at them .. But please no self promotion ... Real feedback is what I want to know and I'm sure what other people want.
This would have been self promotion 2 weeks ago but I do not offer the service publicly anymore(work with 1 partner now) HIGH Quality Press Releases have done well for me. I know Google says they dont work for ranking, but for long tails up to 1000 searches per month they have worked for me. They have helped me move some bigger volume keywords too, just not to page 1 and of course the all important "Buy Keyword" is on page 1. Its white hat, its expected to be done by real businesses and they give you a BUNCH of links at once with little to no chance of penalty. Thats as close to automation as I have been doing these days.

just like with my service suggestion, the quality of the content not only helps get you ranked and keep you there but also helps you sell.

Sure you can spin crap and rank but as Danny said you want a long term site that converts. What are conversions like on a copied page with spun content? Pretty low I would imagine. With Amazon commissions are already low, you cannot afford to throw away a % or 2 to bad content, you have to maximize every opportunity to sell.

Thats just my 2 cents.

the best converting themes would be custom

I have added some in the thread and you can find a bunch in the bhw download section.

I agree I always recommend PR - and they are part of my first 3 months basic Seo Strategy .. my own opinion on this is that the average affiliate spammer goes straight to scrapebox and other tools like that and ignores PR - so they seem to have more positive effects than negative.

Finally read the whole thread after a week, Danny youre cool thank you so much, and I speak for more people here.

Just came up with the solution of creating subdomain for reviews, using different theme, apart from my amazon products that way I can stick to my Amazon theme which shows no reviews on homepage(only pics).

I have a high basic EMD for what I cannot really laser target the public, however i will still give it a try on bestselling products. If anyone has Home&Garden emd please contact me if you want our sites to get connected.

It's all about link juice. Each link carries a bit of weight and SERP placement is partly determined by how much link juice your domain is receiving. The more link juice your domain is receiving, the better. Unique content linking to your site is great, but these links won't carry any weight if no one is linking to them. That's why you need to purchase a service like social bookmarking, wiki blast, blog roll, blog comment, social profile, etc. to generate some link juice to your 2.0. I usually buy these services just to get the lists, then drop them in scrapebox or BMD :)

This month, I'll be making a few 2.0 sites using this strategy and linking to my authority site. Final income from previous month: Naqiswf.png

I have earned around $112 in march when I will get amazon's check ?

Hey Danny, you mentioned that when you created many subdomains on one domain, it was de-indexed. Why do you think that was? If your quality is good (which you seem to emphasize), for what reason would Google have de-indexed the domain? In the past I have gone the route of many small sites, but I am looking to create one mega site. Aside from a lack of clear focus, I can't imagine why Google might penalize one large site hosting multiple niches.

end of May

Subdomains were a waste of my time - Google hated the idea .. it was just a test anyway to see if I could get away with it -- it made money initially but the whole lot got de-indexed in one day and that was all she wrote .. I would never do this again .. not interested in short term projects.

I have made several mistakes with Amazon

* doing FSB Stores
* Investing in Magento Stores
* Subdomains

The amount of time and money put into it vs the return - just wasn't close to being enough - and Magento Stores were just a waste of money.

Hey Danny,

what did you did that google deindexed your site with the subdomains? Did you looked after what was the problem? Because I don't think G has a problem with subdomains. There are several examples that it works, and hundreds of thousands of indexed pages on subdomains is not accidental. (woot and their subdomains)
How was it structured? Did you used exact match kw in the subdomain part?

Thanx for the great thread BTW.

The main domain had all the content and the others were all stores.

It was a way to cut down on the amount of content needed .. but obviously they viewed it as a thin affiliate type site and deindexed the lot

Amazon Affiliate Sites are alot different than properly set up Business Type Sites -- that's why I always suggest to use a Premium Theme to move them away from being viewed as essentially worthless.
