The Ultimate Amazon Thread Mark 2 - Q/A - Good/Bad

As far as the Domain Names go - it's wide open to what you think works best for you.

There is no point every persons site being an exact copy of each other .... I'm just giving you what has worked for me - but there could be 100 better ways to go.

Mod your Sites / add unique things to your site .. these things will make you last -- and earn you better $$.

Pretty sure we went over this

but I have Contact Us Privacy Policy and the Amazon Disclaimer they ask for on the bottom of the home page.
You've covered that these are a must-have but I'm having trouble actually implementing them.
I'm not sure how to write the privacy policy or what's a must to have in it, do I add the amazon disclaimer at the end of the privacy policy, within it or should it be separate etc ?
This is something I'd definitely want to be 100% correct on to avoid any problems with amazon.

Contact Us = Plug In
Privacy Policy = Plug In

Amazon Statement - copy/paste from Amazon Affiliate Section into the footer of website

In your website

Appearance - Editor - click Footer on the Right and add what you want to add - where-ever it needs to be positioned.

or if you use a plug in in the footer - then just add text box and copy and paste it in.

Oh so a general privacy policy from one of the plugins is fine ? I thought it had to be specific and mention amazon or sth as well..
Thanks for the help yet again

I use a standard one ... but it is 100% necessary to add the Amazon Required Disclaimer to your Site.

-- Most of my Sites have it in the Footer - but I think I have a few where I created a page especially for it.

But anyway depends on your site .. cheers.

Incase anyones looking for it:

[Insert your name] is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to [insert the applicable site name (amazon.com, amazonsupply.com, or myhabit.com)]."

The condition is that you display it on your site, so it can be the footer, or a seperate page like danny said.

As a name you put your first name or first + last name ? Would look better from customer POV if it had sites url or sth, in my opinion.. But don't really want to go wrong with something like this

exactly what I do - just use URL

some people don't care about it - but I always have privatewhois on my domains - and I have a company that my payments and expenses go through - with business paypal account.

Yeah I always use that as well, makes me feel... Safer for some reason.
Besides if you don't use that, it's so easy for people to find all your 101 domains with one google search..

EDIT : To anyone looking to get into Amazon, I highly recommend reading every single post made by Danny on this thread and also his old thread :
http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/making-money/446920-amazon-success-300-day-yesterday.html

It's a damn goldmine in my opinion.
Thanks again for the amazing info, you could've written about 10 WSOs based on what I've read so far.. Thank god we have some nice people in the IM community, such as you :)

Anyone who knows a WP plugin that gives direct information on what websites traffic on your site comes from?

I mean if someone click on a link to my website from Yahoo, then I can see exactly what post / thread my visitor came from?

Hello,

I have a question Danny, do you cloak your URL's? And yes do you use Pretty Link or something else. And also is this a problem with amazon? Did you have any problems?

Thx.

You can use Pretty Links without any problems. I am doing it for a very long time and had no problems.

All the best!

try statpress v . It gives a lot of info

yeah - like the guys above said you can use statpress and pretty links pro

I use simply no follow post

Amazon basically just wants to see a URL for the traffic

wirelessrouters2013.com/hottest-gaming-wifi-router as an example

sending blank referral traffic or some sort of BH redirection etc can cause you problems .... but let me make it clear this thread is not about any of that (BH Methods) - its about finding easy keywords - providing laser focussed content and sensible link building with a user friendly experience.

cheers

I am assuming alot from your post so if I am wrong let me know .. so I can modify.

My seo start guide month 1-3 consisted of Press Releases / Social Bookmarks / Article Submission / Social Profiles and PDF Submissions (basically)

This assumed you had 5-8 pieces of Unique Content on your site to start.

After that (month 4+) I said to move to a Web 2 Strategy which you can design yourself according to the more common principles that are found all over BHW... or do manually if you liked.

GSA I took the trial and pointed out in my thread that I thought the quality was just too low - and better to use other softwares than that one. (this is just my opinion though - and certainly for tier 2 or 3 you could go with it for that)

It just seems to me - using GSA pointed at your money site was not really the best way to start .. when there are safer / probably more effective ways to go.

thanks danny for the reply, i think i will give UD a try. as for the links you are building in the first 3month, how many links do you build per day? whats the safe range? 5-10?

If you are outside the USA sign up at payoneer (NOT AN AFFILIATE LINK) they set you up with a US bank account and credit card.

Im in Spain and have Amazon send my commisions to this account and draw money from ATM machine no waiting for checks and paying huge bank commisions for proccessing the check which Spanish banks where stinging me before.

this also apply for people near asian country?

Link Building - for the first 3 months - its not about creating a pattern ie 5 - 10 - 15 links a day

but be random -- its a brand new website - so for 3 days build links - then 3 days don't build links - 2 days build links - 2 days don't

try to make it look as natural as possible -- I don't think alot of website owners who start a Site or Blog spam 1,000 links a day from day 1 ... you got to use your head with this - its a long term investment.
