It,s great that there is a set of rules that explains everything at once
Unfortunately, that's not allowed since we can't monitor or check what you are actually telling people of our platform and, therefore, can also not verify if you are selling/advertising anything. So please do not mention your username for other platforms here.Good information. I've read it all but my situation is kind of left in a gray area. I don't plan on selling anything on here ever. I'm going to use it for other purposes like directing traffic to myself hopefully. My question is, am I allowed to mention my usernames on social media platforms? Of course I know I can't spam them. Probably wouldn't even mention them unless asked. Definitely not trying to get advertising by sending a few people because I get millions of views. Wouldn't be mentioning them for promotional purposes. The reason I ask it's because it still seems wrong to mention them and send someone away from the forum. I know that a lot of the new algorithms are checking for this. I imagine it would be fine here but I'm just thinking like AI.
What if I have a site / page with some action to complete and add a link in a long post?
- Short posts with links to your own site.
I witnessed many jr execs and execs mentioning their telegram usernames and so on.Unfortunately, that's not allowed since we can't monitor or check what you are actually telling people of our platform and, therefore, can also not verify if you are selling/advertising anything. I think most of what you're referring to are self-promotional activities, in which case they wouldn't be permitted outside of the Marketplace. Unless there's something I am misunderstanding?What if I have a site / page with some action to complete and add a link in a long post?
I guess that's wicked.
Because if I have an offline product added to Amazon and send it here, that'd probably be no problem.
But if I have an online product added on Gumroad and send it here, that'd probably be a problem.
Isn't it that that if something is super hard to recreate, we can link to our own stuff? I observed such a thing.
Then there is this categorization...
- sales pages of digital products, sales pages of physical products;
- hq stuff / lq stuff;
- own products vs affiliate products;
- type of page linked: sales page or info page;
- more or less valuable page.
And probably these are some criteria.
"Brand new to BHW" - I guess that's more like "Brand new to business understanding"
In your example, someone stating their name, even if it links them to their other social media, isn't against the rules. Members are allowed to announce their names if they want, and they are also allowed to put their other social contacts on their profile. But, for example, posting on a thread your handle for another platform and telling users to contact you there would be considered directing people off of the forum. We'd consider this to be promoting off-forum groups and discussions, and we wouldn't allow it.I witnessed many jr execs and execs mentioning their telegram usernames and so on.
They sometimes post that in "about page" or through DMs.
They're not doing it for evil purposes usually, so I don't know how that works.
Or for example splishsplash told us he is "Tom Belfort" and so you can easily find that person on the internet and their contacts.
I understand that if someone is generally running marketplace threads, they can give contact details.
Please read the guide here: An Overview Of Post Count Inflation | BlackHatWorldI didn't even know there was “post-count inflation” until my post was deleted. Does it mean I will have to write as detailed as I can because I'm a newbie? And does this rule apply to registered members also?
