Bumping an old thread...but I thought it might be time to update this. Again, this is based on my personal experience - YMMV.
VAGEX: Still delivering views but there was a bit of controversy regarding this service in the past week. It seems that when videos ran out of credits within the system, they were not being removed from rotation. Users were, therefore, receiving 'free' views. In order to counter this, the Vagex team began 'charging' users for these extra views. So, one might log in to their account to find that they now 'owe' Vagex 1k+ credits. Of course, this went over like a lead balloon. Users could not control the fact that they were getting these 'free' views and an outcry of 'not fair' began in the forums. Much to their credit, the Vagex team reversed their standing on the issue and even went so far as to offer users free credits in exchange for their error in judgement. Now, if your video runs out of credits, you simply stop receiving views. Any overage is 'eaten' by Vagex. Best of luck to them for finding a permanent solution and kudos for not passing along the programming goof to users.
I'm still finding that I'm receiving comments from Vagex although I do not have Vagex comments feature enabled on my videos. I suspect that this is related to the above issues in some way. It's kind of a pain to find a comment like "LOL! Hilarious!!! Do more like these!! You're cracking me up!!" on a serious video about mesothelioma. WTF?! It's simple enough to log in and remove it but still a pain. This is not upsetting enough for me to stop using it but I do wish it would get corrected.
I'm also getting 'free' Likes, Subs and Faves via Vagex it seems. I don't have these features enabled on all of my videos but I still get them anyway. While these are a nice 'bonus' (comments notwithstanding), I think it speaks to the problems they're having on the service-side about inadvertently giving these away for free.
VIEWET: There's been a mandatory update for the software but the primary 'crashing problem' does not seem to have been corrected. I'm still finding that the program crashes randomly. Also, views are terribly slow with this service for the moment. I really hope that the guys are not giving up on this project. Things have been kind of quiet here. Their forums are kind of a ghost town which leads me to wonder if many users are giving up. This would be a shame.
u2bVIEWS: Unfortunately, this service has seemingly still not recovered from the YT update. I'm still seeing views but, like Viewet, they are very slow. For both Viewet and u2bVIEWS, I get a sense that both developers have concluded to wait until things shake out with YT before making any major changes. I'll continue to collect credits for both services but I'm going to hold off on purchasing anything for the time being.
EHV: I give up. And that's a shame. EHV has quickly fallen behind all other view providers by seemingly not giving a f*&#. I have tons of credits with this service (seriously...over 100K credits) and while I'm throwing a few views to my videos with minimal results, it's truly not really worth the effort. At least with the other, aforementioned services, the developers seem to care about updating their product. Short of the previously praised Chrome plug-in...there's nothing worthy to speak of here.
TUBE VIEW TRADER: This service hasn't been mentioned before but I did want to throw it out there as it is working as promised. TVT won't get you views but it works very well for receiving 'likes'. It's free and operates as a Chrome plug-in. Just activate it a couple of times per day with one of your YT accounts and you'll 'like' videos and earn credits for 'likes' on your videos as well. I've had great success with this. A bit of advice for noobs, however, don't start the 'like' process on your videos until you have plenty of comments and views. Otherwise, your videos will stand out like a sore thumb and look 'fake'. If your videos are new, just keep this service in your arsenal for future use.
TVT can be downloaded here.
In short, most of the services are still having issues. I would caution everyone to also not fall for anyone offering a "solid solution" for YT views for only XXX amount of money. NO ONE has a solution at the moment. You're best to wait it out. DON'T spend any money for the moment...especially on services with no track record. The above services (with the exception of EHV) have a history of working properly and delivering as promised. If they aren't working in 'free mode', you can be assured that these other fly-by night services won't work either...and chances are, they are simply using Viewet, Vagex and u2bviews to deliver the hits you've paid for. I can't stress enough, wait. This from someone who makes a good living via YT.
Any thoughts? Corrections?
Also...a quick rant, if you don't mind. An open letter to my fellow BHW YT users:
Dudes/Dudettes....when you create your throwaway YT accounts, please do us all a favor and use realistic usernames and take the time to complete your profile (add a pic, a bio, etc). Don't be lazy. It does none of us any good if you name your YT account 'Sub4SubYeahBaby' or 'iouoiwyherhnf'. It looks FAKE. You just force me to go through and remove you from my subscriber lists or remove your comments. Also, take some time to log in to these accounts on occasion and watch/favorite a few 'legit' videos (y'know, the latest Lady Gaga video, whatever) and also subscribe to some other popular channels. This way, you don't appear to only be subscribing, liking, favoriting spam.
Our goal should always be to make all of the above look as realistic as possible. Also, it just puts you in the cross-hairs of YT/Google to have your account flagged and removed. You're wasting time. Take just a few minutes to upload a realistic pic of a normal person, write a brief bio, complete your location (USA would be ideal, I believe for most of us; Europe at least). Keep in mind that this info also proves useful in our Insight stats. I hate explaining to my American clients why most of their views appear to be coming from Vietnam (remember YT is going to chose your default location based on whatever proxy you might be using to create the account; don't assume that it's going to default to your own home country). All of the above will take you less than five minutes per week, per account. DON'T BE LAZY, ya bastards!!

OK done. Carry on.
