I made an account just to talk to people about this method. I have a niche in mind. I'm going to make a site on Shopify probably tonight and tomorrow. Hope it all goes well.
One thing I'm worried about: what if the customer comes to my site and orders multiple items at the same time? I can think of two problems emerging with this:
1. Since I can only charge shipping per order (not per item), the more items they buy in one order the lower the profit margin between the item cost and the phony shipping cost, and it could even exceed it, giving me a loss.
2. If they buy multiple items in one order, there's a chance they will be coming from different sellers, so the customers will be receiving their items at different times.
A possible solution would be to only allow them to buy one item at a time, but that seems as if it might scare some customers away.
