The Shopify + Facebook Method FAQ - All Questions Here Please.

I made an account just to talk to people about this method. I have a niche in mind. I'm going to make a site on Shopify probably tonight and tomorrow. Hope it all goes well.

One thing I'm worried about: what if the customer comes to my site and orders multiple items at the same time? I can think of two problems emerging with this:

1. Since I can only charge shipping per order (not per item), the more items they buy in one order the lower the profit margin between the item cost and the phony shipping cost, and it could even exceed it, giving me a loss.

2. If they buy multiple items in one order, there's a chance they will be coming from different sellers, so the customers will be receiving their items at different times.

A possible solution would be to only allow them to buy one item at a time, but that seems as if it might scare some customers away.

Question to anyone with experience with Wordpress and the FB Pixel.

I tried some plugins and I can only get the pixel to work on viewing the content but not on checkout. Can anyone offer any advice?

Thanks

Thanks guys.

I discovered a niche that I think has potential. I'm both excited and nervous to get it going (also trying to find the free time!!).

I think I might put a fair bit of effort into making the site attractive and professional-looking before I put out the Facebook ads, because I see that being a significant factor in how many customers follow through with the order. The risk with that is that I'm investing a lot into something I haven't tested yet, but all I've got to lose is time.

That new FB Master Pixel has got me confused af. Paying anyone who can help me set it up!

So I tried CPC for the first time in my life and this pixel crap was difficult to figure out.

I'd like to get an opinion on this picture:

I know the amount that I tested it with is low but I just want to understand some things before I can actually do a real test.

It says I have 6 conversions, but I haven't had an order yet. I'm guessing that once they go into my checkout page where the pixel is, then Facebook counts that and I get charged? Is this right?

Also, my CPC, seems pretty damn high, no?

What do I put for the company address? My own address? or do I make up one

I don't live in the US but im targeting US

You need to test it a bit more but it looks bad to me.

CPC is so hard to figure out with Facebook for me. Lowest I got was 0.04 but I found out it was because I set up my pixel wrong.

Since then I've been doing PPE ads at 0.01. Conversion is really low. Maybe 1 out 200 PPE actually visits the website, and conversion rate is 1%. So I need 2000 PPE to get one sale --> That's 20$. I'm working with huge margins so that's fine to me but I'll try some more CPC and tell you more about it! Maybe we could help each other. I spent 350$ so far in ads. 150 was total lost but I'm at 316$ clear profit in 1 week. I'll keep testing!

Edit: That fucked up. I was replying to everythingred.

If you did not get an order, there also was no conversion. This means, you placed the conversion pixel wrong. A conversion is only a purchase, so it is recommended to put the conversion pixel on checkout page or even better on thank you page after checkout. Then a conversion only will be counted if you actually made a sale.
$0.93 per conversion is not bad at all, but only if it IS a conversion, so if you pay $0.93 per sale, this is quite good.

Perfect. Thank you.

Great method and thanks for posting these Faqs. I know a bunch of people trying this method :), thanks for sharing!

I remember you from 1 month ago doubting single thing everyone was saying. If you don't believe anyone why are you still here? That's annoying man.

150$ of ads gave me no sales at all.

200$ of other ads gave me 1.2k in sales.

In total I made a flat 316$ profit. I said I was working with big margins.

Well, ok if you are selling product for $40-50 then of course you can make profit despite high fb ad cost. But this is not this method, this is just plain ecommerce, normal selling and not free product plus shipping method.
Of course plain selling works, it is not a method, it has been done for decades. If you sell for $40/50/60 and you buy the product for cheap, you will make of course a big profit even with only 25 orders. But if you do the method like it was initially described here, where you make maybe $5 profit ($9.99 shipping minus maybe $3/4/5 product price), then you got $125 profit facing ad cost of $100-150 ....
