totally feel you! let's just wait until Tuesday next week. This is when at least the core update will roll out. (as we know there is one more update going on now).

down 30-40% in the HCU, recover roughly half on the first day of core, now back to the HCU levels once again today

don't even have any reviews or aff links, full info & ads

from what it looks like almost every competitor in my niche (not ymyl) with a site newer than 2y old got hit

think im moving on to a new site when i get my head together

Yeah. The funny thing about it was on Sunday I had my highest traffic day I ever had. This was right after having a very low traffic day compared to how my other days had gone. Then the following day, I was down 20% again, and today even more again. I dropped massivly in top 3 keywords, again, but after this happened for the 4th time I just can’t be bothered to give a shit anymore lol.

I am starting to work on a new website and will just update this one weekly and let it sit. It’s funny. Google does these update in order to make people work on their websites more and update content more, (or so they say) but in most cases it just turns you off that website and makes you want to do a totally different one from scratch lol.
 
Seems like this update favor old/aged site as screenshot shown. 3 affiliate sites, the middle one is the newest (less than 2yr old) with lots of content still get slapped and the other 2 (around 4yrs old) is moving up the SERP, what a joke!

I have one hypothesis - every time they roll out a core update, the search results show like 2-3 months old positions. That’s how it looks in my niche. Everything literally got to the point of mid-late May 2022. To me it looks like they restored an okd version of their algo from 2-3 months while letting the new algo collect data and roll out.

I have a 7 year old website and is still got rekt. Info+affiliate and that too in July, recovered in the same month, got hit again in August. Till now no recovery.
 
I have a 4 year old purely whitehat site with no links built. lost almost all traffic. It's like my traffic gets halved with every update.
 
Is there any chart to show how much percentage of sites lost traffic and how many gained traffic? A sampling of sites....its too early for that kind of research i guess.

I am so curious what that Update is about. I think that pages with commercial characters could get a boost. Most of my customers are stable until now which means that clean on and off page SEO can have a positive effect.
 
One of my sites in the home improvement niche (purely info site) got hit and now I see only commercial sites ranking for my keywords
 
I am ready to be disappointed again. Ever since they rolled out the May Cored Update last year, my website has declined. Sites with loads of keyword stuffing ranking ahead of my own.

Tried everything and it nothing seems to work. Google!

Same thing here. Don't know what's the problem. 20-30% down (for now). Impressions in GSC fell down by 40-50%. And the worst thing, I have only a few review articles, 90% is informative content.

How are you about relevance? Do you have broad or non relevant blog posts?
 
The more google updates the merrier! Every update is like a check-up if you're doing it right pleasing the dark lord enough and prey for his mercy.

In my niche, I see paid articles on news websites skyrocketing from nowhere to no1. Sad to see this ranking scam thriving.

Hey pssst....here is a bulletproof core update shield....spend some $ on G ads for every site you want to protect and no core update will ever hit you if you do decent SEO.....it will work because G is only interested in bringing value to its users and it is not interested in making obscene amounts of money.
