The Power of Medium.com ?

I was wondering if any of you guys have considered marketing on medium.com

It's great that anyone can post. But, whatever one writes it won't ever really rank--so contributing here would only be good if it goes viral, it's a trendy topic, or you have many followers.

Has anyone used a tool to automate following/commenting/scraping on Medium? Is it worth it?

Does anyone use medium as a medium (pun intended) for content?

I repost my articles on there with a link back to my blog. As well as thumbnails to other articles spliced into the content.

As you said it's mainly worthwhile if you have some kind of viral topic, but any backlink is a good backlink and if you network with similiar users, they will check you out.
