The new gurus are called masterminds

Lately, I've found Gurus have started to call themselves now "Masterminds", I've been reading this for a while, but I did not realize such until recently.

It's like the new fashion that goes under the hood. Since "Guru" is now a corrupted term synonym of "snake-oil seller" that just everyone knows (except for your friendly neighborhood lil'Patel that still like to be called "The SEO Guru")

But today I was wondering a little on FB and spotted this.

Really amazing.

Next time you see "Mastermind", think twice before you believe you are going to find anything of value there.

Owner at......... Means the only employee in the online company.

Yes I have been seeing this trend. FOMO with a 400 usd a month subscription fee. Upsells.

And their shitty courses are now called "Masterclass".

Everything is a stupid Masterclass these days... Ugh

Well boys, our next mission is to taint the title “mastermind”.

I think "guru" was a term applied to them, in a condescending way. I can't really remember one of these make money online people refering to themselves as a guru. The term was considered an insult before I got into the internet marketing game and that was decades ago. Back then the trendy terms were "expert", "entrepreneur", "pioneer", "super" (as in super affiliate, a term which got tossed around far too much). Later the cringe-inducing "digital nomad" came along and for some reason, people are still trying to keep that alive.

Considering I live in a country considered a Mecca for "digital nomads", I can tell you, they're 99.9% either the all talk wannabe types without a clue or a plan (unless you consider, "I'm going to get rich" a plan), or they're just backpackers living off dad's money, avoiding the real world while pretending they're not just traveling around. Seen more than a couple literally on the street begging with signs that ask people to give them money so they can keep traveling.

And they've been selling "mastermind" seminars forever, so seems they're just recycling used and abused terms.

Then you had the really bad, massive ego grifters who would refer to themselves as "senpai" and make their students(victims) call them that.

What I find amazing is people in job descriptions for everything from programming to marketing jobs still use the terms "ninja" and "rockstar" in them. That was widely mocked when it was trendy over a decade ago. Can't believe people still use that. That's like a massive red flag if you're ever job hunting. You see a posting that says they're looking for a rockstar/ninja, tell them to fuck off lol.

It has nothing to do with the thread, and publicizing someone who didn't do anything to any of us.

They know that there will always be suckers born every minute. We all know that.
However, what they know, which we do not know, is that nowadays, the number of suckers being born every minute, is drastically on the rise.
So, they are the champions in mastering the minds of all the suckers being born every minute.
Anyways, as far as the screenshot is concerned : For that "The Handmade Mastermind", the word "mastermind" there is merely a part of some company's name.
Nonetheless, "masterminds" know that the easiest way to earn money, is to "coach" others on how to become "masterminds" and then the sucked suckers can easily suck in more suckers.

Now I'm curious, can someone answer her question?

Oh, I think it was VERY clear to anyone paying attention the last 7 years or so that we're in the golden age of scamming.

From crowdfunding scams to crypto/NFT scams, to metaverse BS, wall street bets amplifying pump n dump culture, DeFi banking, etc.

There's never been so many idiots and it's never been so easy to reach so many of them than now. Truly a gilded age of grift.

The amount of suckers aren't rising, the difference is that now, they have internet access

Regarding her site showing a DA of 1? Well the first thing she did wrong was think DA means anything. It's super easy to manipulate it.

No shortage of people who will toss up a bunch of banklinks to get the DA up for a sale, then pull them right after.

It's both. You have more people in general. That alone means more suckers. Plus in countries like the US, you're a good 3 generations deep into a completely useless education system that churns out people who can barely read much less apply basic logic and critical reasoning skills. I think people have mentally regressed, multiplied, and now they're easier to reach than ever before. Plus every major platform they get info and entertainment from is in the business of reinforcing their lack of reasoning skills so they're just mindless dopamine addicts who believe everything they see (unless it's the truth).

Idiocracy has become a documentry.

Neverminds is the way forward.
