The new G algorithm - new sites disappearing constantly

Yeah I've noticed this sort of thing more and more lately and while you don't want to hear it more content and links ARE the solution most of the times. Although I highly doubt 10 web2.0's caused a dance like that (maybe you were just trying to make a point).

I didn't noticed such jumps but I was moving up and down by +/- 20 spots. I guess drip feeding is the best way to go. Don't build tons of links all together and things will be fine. But more then that, I guess quality of contents really matters now.

Ok, I have 4 months old website, which was #3-#6 in the last month. Today just disappeared from SERP...its not even in the first 1000 but its not banned.

Don't know what happened. I don't using any shity or spammed backlinks. Most of my backlins where manualy build...hope this is some joke from G

I spoke to soon on my earlier reply, I do have a site that is moving around pretty wildly. It was top 5 for 2 keywords with around 20k exact searches per month, then after about 3 days in the top 5 it dropped out all together. Now random pages are showing up ranked for the same KW's around position 60 or so. So instead of keyword.com being listed today it might be keyword.com/page1 ranking for a term then tomorrow it is keyword.com/blogpost5 ranking for that term and the day after it is keyword.com/blogpost8 ranking for the term.

This site has is around a month or so old, so I am waiting for the dust to settle, I did build some wiki links to one of the inner pages that was ranking and the next day the inner page no longer ranked for the kw but a different page/post took its place in almost the exact same position.

EDIT*** This is an affiliate site but it contains around 15 posts of 350-700 words each and 5 pages in addition. So it is content rich with lots of relevant text, not forced with kw's and plenty of images too.

It seems that new sites are easily sandboxed now... completely disappear off radar, but still indexed. Building more links always fixes the problem immediately. Being in sandbox is fine, although its a bit depressing. It's like being on probation, and you need to keep building links (any links) to get it out of sandbox.

I got a single quality PR5 backlink to a relatively new site....sandboxed, no where to be found! I waited 2 weeks, still nothing. I got fed up, so ordered 50 high PR blog manual comments (on actual PR3+ pages, but super high obl ...very spammy), and the next day site was ranking better than ever! I've had site sandboxed after bookmarking, and then recover after high PR forum links!

So, my advice if you are sandboxed, is to order a small package of manual high PR blog or forum, or some other type of high PR, low quantity backlink, just to keep link velocity ticking along, and should see some improvements

Just wanted to make a thread with exactly the same problem. All my Amazon sites ( 11 of them ) just disappeared today.
Some of them are new others 2-3 months old with different backlink count/strategy (100% unique content 1000+ words ) - so what might be the problem if it's not the backlins ????!

I had a massive dance for a couple of sites but I just kind of don't let it bother me and continue with what I am doing.Few weeks later they are all 5+ on first page.

I don't know what the problem is, but what I know now is that my site is ranking in Bing and Yahoo but not in Google.
It wasn't in SERP of Bing and Yahoo Yesterday...

Here is another thread about same kind of problem

I have noticed a sudden Increase in traffic and also adsense earnings. my adsense in now higher.
Must say I don't have any spam on my site, also only Unique content without any Backlinking.

Have about 100 unique articles on there too. but strange that it suddenly is must more traffic.

Every article is on another topic, so too much work for checking the backlinks.

If I look at adsense where the traffic came from, there is much more search terms that bring people to my site.

I on the other hand love it!!

I don't experienced nothing like that, but I terminated any BH techniques nowadays

Same issue on one of my projects.
Lets compare the used services. Which did you use for the particular sites? (I will post mine later, as used many and have to look through the records.)

Which did you use for the particular sites?

Half of them only bookmarks. The other half senuke, wiki, bookmarks, amr, high PR comments... - all the standart backlinks

Pretty much exactly the same story for me. #5-8 in a pretty competitive niche, site 4 months old, really good content compared to competition, decent backlinks (diversity, anchor variation, hardly any spam links). Now i'm being outranked by a site with obviously badly spun content and 100% spam backlinks. I wouldn't mind if the sites that were outranking me now were much better... but they're not.

Only 5 pages ranking in the top 100 results out of the 25 pages on my site. And these pages are ranking for the wrong terms.

So confused.

Im having the same issue as almost 15 sites have dropped rankings. I had just set up my own private blog network and had links pointing to my sites. All links were dripfed at the rate of one a day which is hardly considered bad backlink practices. For the past week I have seen my sites increasing ever since I implemented my own blog network. I checked to see if the sites had been deindexed as this was my biggest fear. To my relief they were all intact. I searched in big G for any other clues and it turns out that panda can penalize a site which comes from a bad neighbourhood. Immediately I checked to se if my blog network sites were hosted along with sites considered untrustworthy, it turns out out of 20 network sites 8 of them have a few porn sites on the same ip. This is the exact tool I used http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/web-sites-on-web-server/.

I would really like to know as this is really driving me crazy not knowing what is the sudden cause for this. My idea is to contact the hosts involved which I bought from fiverr and ask them to move my site to another server. Hopefully this will resolve the issue.

This is very interesting for me. Please, describe if you have built any links at all or not, as it's not certain from your post. Thank you.

I have ~5 sites with NO backlinks all were on second page (very uncomp. kw). All registered on the same date and all gone a week or so ago - at the same time. Another site registered two days later was gone also after two more days. ANOTHER site registered 10 days ago - gone. It's a delay thing and is automatic.. Picked one of the gone sites. Added some content and backlinks. Its back. If you make a new website now and don't do steady backlinking it disappears (even if you do nothing). I've sen competitor sites do the same thing. This is not a penalty - it's google trying to convince you it is. It's kinda an extreme version of the old 'sandbox' thing. After some testing - social media does seem to bring back a lost site. tweets/fb.

All of my sites been dancing even authority sites nothing is stable.
