What I outline is a relatively easy method for IM beginners to start making money. It is also a very scale-able method, which is key.

    1. Find a micro niche

To start with, you need to identify a low competition niche. To find this you need to be thinking about micro-niches, rather than niches. Be very specific! So for example, don't target niches such as foot pain but target niches such as shin splints or plantar fasciitis etc... The more specific the better, provided there is some search volume. Obviously, low competition micro niches will have lower search volumes than high search high competition ones, but just like it is easier for the average salesman to make a profit selling 100 books rather than a single car, I believe it is easier for the beginner-intermediate IMer to make a profit selling low competition low demand products vs high competition high demand ones. Once you have identified the niche, you will also need to find one very specific very relevant product that solves the problems of this niche. I tend to recommend Clickbank as that is what I am familiar with and I know first hand how profitable it can be, but other CPA platforms can do too. For a more elaborate thread on low competition product and niche selection, check out:

    2. Build a Micro Niche Website

Step 2 is to build an build an MNS with high-quality, useful articles. Minimum is 5 articles but I would recommend having 10-15. You can use articles found on the vendor's affiliate page to start with, but re-write them, so that you'll rank better (as duplicate content does not rank). You can also outsource the writing/re-writing - check freelances sites such as upwork; you can get very good rates. If you are tight on budget, here's a trick to get quality content for cheap: find 10-15 good articles from other websites (relevant to the topic at hand), this can include the articles in the vendor's affiliate section. Copy and paste them in one word document. Now, when you post your job on freelancer sites, say that you are looking for someone to re-write a 5,000 word report (or whatever the total word count is). You will generally get lower prices quoted if you ask for this, then if you had to ask for someone to re-write 10 articles of 500 words each. Also, obviously getting re-writes is much cheaper than asking for articles written from scratch.

On each page, have a banner/side ad inviting the user to download an exclusive free report or a free email mini course. When they click on it would take them to a page where they will be invited to enter their email address for the download link - this will be your opt-in.
Note that you will need to use an autoresponder for this. Aweber is my personal favourite, but if you are just starting out you may want to check out mailchimp as it is free up to 2,000 subs.

3A. Traffic Generation and Free Methods

Once our page is up, we need to generate traffic to it. If you have no cash but have time, then DO check out meathead's method of generating lots of targeted visitors for free. You can tweak it and perfect it further. This is a VERY good method for beginners and people who have struggled to make money online in the past. I give this to ppl to tell me that nothing seems to work for them no matter how hard they try, and they always get sales.

Another great method for generating free targeted traffic that is also very newbie friendly is BTB's method, check it out!

3B. Traffic Generation and Cheap Methods

If you have some cash to invest, say $50-100, then you can consider some of the following methods:

    i. Youtube video upload. This is STILL a VERY GOOD method of making lots of affiliate sales. Fiverr is actually a good place to get videos done, despite the cheap price. Make sure you have a call to action in the video. For ranking the video, I won't go into details as there is a section of BHW specifically dedicated to YT, but in essence you need:
    -optimzed title, tags and description
    -slow high retention views
-a few likes, favorites and comments
    -some quality backlinks

ii. Pinterest and pinterest is very underestimated by affiliates. Check out a thread here on BHW about the value that pinterest can hold for marketers:

Pinterest provides more value than facebook for marketers
3C and PPC and potentially high risk/high reward

I'm placing PPC on a section of its own as if done blindly, you can lose money quickly. But if done well, it can be very profitable and very fast. If you are new to PPC, do check out this thread:

[How to] Calculate ROI/Profitability of Paid Traffic (e.g. PPC)

Generally it is a good idea to start with bing ads as they are very newbie-friendly and you can find coupons. If you feel comfortable with adwords, you can also put some money in there but in this case you will need to link to an article page on your site, and not your opt in.

A couple of my top affiliates actually use neither bing nor adwords for ppc - what they do is advertise on related third party sites (they approach webmasters of websites that deal with the niche and deal with them directly in terms of banner space purchase)...and this approach tends to be much cheaper and with a better ROI than either adwords or bing. Of course, it takes time to identify good potential sites and deal with the owners, but it is usually worth it.

FB ads can be very lucrative too. For this, make sure you have the external blog/MNS set up [with opt in], and then set up an fb page and post lots of useful content linking to the external page. When running the ads, link to the fb page. Make sure the page includes lots of share-able posts, such as pictures, infographics, and articles of the "top 6 things..."/ "10 tips for.." etc type

You should get lots of ppl to your page from the ads, and through their engagement (likes/shares of posts), this will further provide free publicity to your page (each times a person likes/shares a post, their friends will see it on their home feed). Many will click through to your external blog/MNS, and if you have an incentivized opt in, it is likely
many will opt (fb traffic loves free stuff). If your free report/mini course is set up right (soft sells work best), then kick back and watch the $$$$ flow

I like to emphasize this - you should always have a niche-specific page set up, and send traffic from the fb ads to it. That way, each time each person engages with the page (likes it or likes/shares/comments on a post), it will show up in their friends' newsfeed/home, and this will generate free further exposure of your page, creating a snowball effect. The key is creating engage-able posts. IMHO, fb ads that do not funnel traffic to fb pages are missing out big time.

Focus on having a page full of useful and engage-able content while you are running ads. Do the marketing later.

    3D. SEO

SEO is how to rank in search engines and stay there. This will bring you a lot of targeted traffic for free once you are ranked, though obviously SEO itself costs (cost varies according to niche and competition). I will not go into detail about how to do SEO because there are many people on BHW much more knowledgeable than me on SEO, and if you search around, there are a lot of very good threads and discussion.

    4. Monitoring and Scaling

Next step is to scale up! The above can easily be replicated as many times as you want for as many micro niches that you can find. Obviously make sure you are continuously monitoring your MNSs and products, so can improve and adapt accordingly.

If you are doing IM part time you could easily set yourself a goal of launching an MNS per week (creation and traffic generation eg 2 video uploads, some comments using meathead's and BTB, and a facebook page + $50 in ads to get the ball rolling on the likes and popularity of the page). If you have all the time in the world (eg if you are currently unemployed), it is not an unrealistic target to launch an MNS per DAY, and in just one month you can find yourself with an empire of MNSs and some fat checks in the bank!

So what are you waiting for? Get started now and BANK hard!

Started amazon affiliate site month ago with new domain, now ranking #3 on google.com (english language), so i guess domain age is not such a big deal for low comp keywords these days.

Make sure you are using a bot! It will automate to almost hands-free. There are a few good ones on BHW, check them out in the marketplace and get in touch with the sellers beforehand if you have questions about them.

Pinterest is a goldmine and bots will enable to scale up as much as you want.

Thanks for such a great guide

Pinterest is definitely goldmine, i use pinterest+adsense for over 8+ months and making *** Euro/Month
but never tried Pinterest + clickbank

Also gonna try PPC method (firstly with bing ads) because i like risk - you win or you learn, you never lose ))

good share. As you say monitoring / tracking is important in this type of work since you can't just sit and wait for results... so you need to be organized and just move on while checking progress weekly or every few days.

OP, regarding the articles, do we make articles about reviewing the products or topics related to the products that we are promoting.
Let's say I picked Diabetes Type 2 Destroyer on ClickBank. Do I post reviews about it on my MNS or articles on topic related to it. Not sure if you get my point as i am no native xD

I read in other mancar's topics that 1 review is fine but other articles must be related to the Microniche and product that you are promoting; Just mention product in softsell way at end of every article; Goodluck .

    By the way,
Thank you VERY MUCH mancar ..
