Thank you for creating a thread for all Kindle marketers.

I would like to ask you a question:

- I don't like writing novels and stories but I am good at writing ebooks on the topic of self-help. I plan to hire a VA who'll write only on this topic and write a lot. Something like, an ebook a day. Does this seems like a good plan?

It seems like a good plan...on 3 conditions.

1. There is market demand for your self-help book (i.e. People are actively searching for answers to that specific question)

2. Your VA produces Good, Original material

3. You can edit and format that material, create an eye-catching cover and description, and do some marketing afterwards.

If you can meet all 3 of those, then I'd say it's a viable plan.

I gave it away to over 150 people yesterday. Any my site was the victim of three hacking attempts. I think I lost out on that deal :smash:

Umm ok I was actually going to ask how much because I'd be happy to pay. I seriously don't understand this site, all I did was ask a question. When did I imply that something wasn't good enough?

Thanks for opening this thread. I have PMed you two times without any answer, i was asking if the offer for your book was available... i didn't knew you cancelled it, so i guess my PMs got mixed between those rants you said you received, im sorry for that... people shouldn't call you anything when you are not obligated to give away your work. You were doing that in good faith and things went just plain wrong. Again, im ok with you not sharing it anymore... i just though it would be very nice to at least receive an answer to my (polite and with good intentions) PMs xD hehe... Now that it is settled, i have an inquiry... if is not asking too much =)

EDIT: I've found that you already answered this on your other thread. Not paying per word and your projects were between 5 - 45 per book. Thanks! Anyways if you want to add some tip or anything it would be very much appreciated

Im curious about the process of hiring VA's or buying articles, stories, and that sort of things... from the few post of yours i've read i believe you are outsourcing a big part of the writing process, am i right?

Would you give me (us) any guidelines that would help us in this area? Like tips, and possibly how much can you pay for a good VA? is a per word rate? per book? how are you sorting this out and what advice would you give us?

Up to this point, I've always made my own, for non-fiction and short stories. I have a much longer fiction piece I'm working on, and I'll spend about $30 on the cover, because you really need something special to stand out with fiction books.

No, but seriously, just use oDesk (if you have time to sift through tons of spam applications), eLance (if you have the money), Freelancer (if you like to leave things up to chance), Guru (if you want someone from India), or Fiverr.

I would suggest heading over to fiver and getting your book covers done there.
