Day 80 (yesterday) and Day 81 – 5.10.2023

Planned tasks:

I've been dealing with clients the past 2 days, but I should be ready with them asap. After the ads for site #9 are launched I can focus on the new project from the incoming week.

Update:
Finally, I am almost fully recovered from that stupid new covid variant, so I can work as usual.

I've been dealing with 2 clients the past week and that's why I didn't update the thread. All the work on their sites and the ad campaigns were finished today.

Additionally site #9 is launched and running now, but as mentioned earlier I will shift my focus to a different project.

Will continue with regular updates of the journey after 1-2 days from now.

JOURNEY RESET

Day 82 - 12.10.2023

Planned tasks:

1) Technical setup planning. // done
2) Setup of the test accounts (for TS 1). // to do tomorrow
3) Configure a plugin on one test site. // to do tomorrow
4) Enable some of the campaigns to get some initial traffic going. // to do tomorrow

The goal of step 3) is to see whether there will be any account bans for the planned traffic sources, because I will use more aggressive monitization techniques. Will start with the first traffic source.

I don't use the site/account in question anymore and it has little over $1.5k USD in ad spend, so it's warmed up already.

I will leave step 3) ongoing with a small budget of around $5-10/day for about a week to see whether any ads will get flagged.

5) Get traffic to it from the two new traffic sources with 2 test accounts. // to do | if there are no bans, move to the next step
6) I am funneling the traffic, so I will have to closely monitor different metrics for the site and on the ad accounts of course. // to do (ongoing) | I know what final CPCs I am going after, so it's very important to go below the amount I saw in some past tests I did.
7) Finally, the technical setup from 1) will be implemented on a new domain with a better design and I will go from there. // to do

I will also spend about 30 minutes/day on freelancing platforms to get more clients. If I get a client for a one time work, I will focus only on that task for the day, but ideally of course I want to get clients for ongoing monthly work.

Day 83 - 13.10.2023

3) Setup of the test accounts (for TS 1). // done
4) Configure a plugin on one test site. // done | Fount it nulled and it works fine, so some money was saved on that part.
5) Enable one campaign to get some initial traffic going. // done | The goal is to see whether there will be any problems with the account in the incoming days.

I will resume the work on Sunday afternoon or Monday morning.

Day 84 - 16.10.2023

I will finish task 2) tomorrow. Then I can resume work on the new project.

Task 3) from day 83 is going fine, but just to be sure, I will launch more campaigns to make sure there are no problems. This task will be completed tomorrow by the VA.

Day 85 - 17.10.2023

Planned tasks:

1) Final campaigns for site #9 + setting up scripts and auto rules. // done

Day 86 - 18.10.2023

Planned tasks:

1) Quickly create a new site for testing purposes. - 20% done | I will finish this asap although I have an exam soon. Will do my best to be ready on the weekend.
2) Prepare both tests accounts and the sites to run ads on. // done
3) Bidding on projects. // done | so far I had just one chat which led to nowhere
4) Read a book. // 50% done
5) Deal with some clients' work until the end of this week. // to do

The goal of 1) and 2) above is to:

- validate the technical setup and see if there are any account bans
- validate the offer and check the interest + projected cost

I will study for one more hour in the morning tomorrow and after the exam, I will continue with the testing phase.

Day 89 - 23.10.2023

2) Technical setup + tests. // 50% done

It seems like I will most likely go with just one traffic sources as the other I tested has very high CPC. I want the best placements for max conversions, but it won't justify the cost/revenue/profit.

Still testing though and it will take some time until I get something to work. Only after that happens, I will put in more money and work on the automation part with VAs + tools.

Day 90 - 25.10.2023

Planned tasks:

1) Bidding on projects. // done | I have a meeting scheduled for Friday
2) Technical setup + tests. // 60% done
3) Prepare everything needed for the main test ad campaigns. // 50% done

I will go with just one traffic source for a start. The first one is more expensive than I thought based on the initial tests. Now testing the new source.

In 1-2 days, I will know if there will be problems on the technical setup. Then I will finish the main campaigns and perform some more tests.

Day 91 - 27.10.2023

Planned tasks:

4) Speak with the new client. // done | she is in a harder niche with lots of bad players, so I will have to fix her accounts and marketing strategy first, but most likely we will work together.

Day 92 - 28.10.2023

2) Prepare everything needed for the main test ad campaigns. // 60% done | stuck because of some account problems I will have to solve asap
3) Prepare the main ad accounts. // 50% done | mentioned in 2)

The new potential client is in a restricted niche and has all certifications + she is approved for this niche in August, but ever since then there are problems with the acc. The stupid meta bots are giving us problems and I will see whether that can be fixed on Monday with some workarounds.

As for the new project. I am doing some progress but still have to keep testing

Day 93 - 29.10.2023

I will finish 1) on Tuesday because I will travel tomorrow and will leave the test campaign running. If there are no bans, I can continue with the actual setup.

Either way though, I will keep that dummy account and will launch the campaigns in it first to avoid potential problems.

I did some calculations today regarding the worst, typical and best metrics for the campaigns, so if I am at the worst I should be able to breakeven. It's possible that my results are below the forecasted worst, however I am taking into account the data I gathered from the current tests, from other advertisers and from my affiliate manager, so it should be between worst and typical.

The actual tests will determine that rate and it's too early to tell.

I have few more important things to test though which should be done this week.

I can continue now with the actual setup. Meanwhile will keep an eye on the test accounts if there are problems. The main accounts will need to go through warm up phase which will be scheduled from the beginning of the next week.

I will start working on the main sites now (design, content, etc.). Cloudflare had some down times today, so I will continue with this tomorrow.

Additionally, I have to finish some work on clients' sites and campaigns.
