So I read the forums daily and it seems as if there is at least two people everyday who talk about being banned from instagram suddenly for no apparent reason.

I also noticed that people ask the same questions to try and find the culprit and reason for these bans.

So I decided to make a check list and maybe we can find out some more information from those who have been recently banned. Anyone and everyone is welcome to contribute and share their story.

1.) Was it a permanent ban? (Have you tried contacting IG and been given a response that the account is closed for good?) Also when did it happen?
2.) What 3rd party apps and/or bots were you using, if any? Ex. Followliker, Instagress, something for automatic likes, etc
3.) Did you have a link in your bio or the website field? If so, which one?
4.) Were you mass following/unfollowing in any way? Manually or botting?
5.) Were you leaving a large amount of comments or liking a large number of pictures regularly?
6,) How old was the account?
7.) Were there any sketchy photos (half naked girls, popular companies photos or brands, etc) being posted?
8.) Were you logging into multiple accts using the same ip? (Did you have a private or shared IP also?)
9.) Did you ever purchase fake followers, likes or comments?
10.) Were you or did you ever promote a CPA offer on the account? (Maybe now that instagram is pushing their own ads they are way more strict on you posting your own?)

Maybe it's a long list, maybe it's not long enough. I'm not sure I just thought I'd try to cover all the bases at once in one thread to see if there's any type of pattern.

I personally have not lost an account yet and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I don't but hopefully we can figure something out together for those who have and stop it from happening.

In all realness tho, it's more then likely a case by case or account by account basis :(

In most cases people who use bots on main account or have cpa links have been banned. I use bot on supporting accounts never on main.

If you really believe that people get banned for no reason, you're wrong. They are just hiding what they did and creating panic among other users. There are tons of reasons why they could've been banned.

People use bots without natural behavior patterns and get banned. They come cry here that their viagra cpa offers weren't offensive to anyone and they don't understand why their fitness girl profiles were banned when they weren't raking in the money.

Also, it could be the case that some people don't even know why are they got banned. They break the ToS with something but they aren't aware of that.

pretty much this, bots can be your best friend, but your biggest enemy at the same time, if you don't know how to use them properly
decent bots won't get your accs banned, just because the fact itself that you used a bot, your settings do, your actions do, your ips do, your bad accs do etc, so it's almost always lead to user error

i just read a thread where OP's wondered what went wrong when he was liking 4k pics/day with a single acc, i mean really, what the f*ck could have happened?! i did massive botting 2,5 years ago last and even back then i didn't like that many pics per day with a single account, although i liked a few hundred thousand per day every day with a lots of accs
if you want to like that many, you either need to do it with a lot of accs (which is a lot harder than before) or you need an aged acc in good standing, so you may stand a chance to get away with it

although OP's questions are good, it would only make sense to answer them, if you would answer them all and then some and post exact answers like:
i purchased my accs from .... provider/i made my accs using this technique, i'm using my accs with .... ips, my accs are ... old, i logged in with this and that device, i did exactly this and this with the accs etc. and it still wouldn't mean anything, because an acc can get reported, while another doesn't, so it can get away with the very same thing, of course it's not advised to give exact answers like that, which questions the whole purpose of answering at all

every case is different, it's better if you find out yourself and keep it to yourself, if you have a working formula, this forum is monitored by ig people since a long time and you don't want to make their life easier

weblues made a post with heaps of possible scenarios why you can get banned on ig, it'd be advised to read that for everybody who's into ig and wondering about the reason of bans, so there would be no need to start the 1000th thread about the same issue, but i guess it's only an utopy lol, this is not meant for this thread and OP though
i'm not saying that if your read those guidelines, it will solve all your problems in a matter of a second, but it will point you into the right direction

The reason why your account may be deleted is due to but not limited to any of the following reasons:

    1. If the account is new and you start following, unfollowing, commenting ... aggressively.

Solution: Take things easy and slow, start with very low daily limit and high intervals/delays.

    2. If you use a blacklisted proxy/IP address to create accounts, instagram may delete any account created with it.

Solution: Use fresh proxy/IP that has not been abused.

    3. If you create multiple accounts on the same phone, instagram will store the phone ID. Instagram will start deleting newly created accounts on that phone when you have successfully created certain number of accounts earlier.

Solution: Use another phone to create your new accounts.

    4. If you create multiple accounts with the same proxy/IP, instagram will store the proxy/IP address. Instagram will start deleting newly created accounts on that proxy/IP when you have successfully created certain number of accounts earlier.

Solution: Use another proxy/IP to create your new accounts.

    5. If you create an account on blacklisted apps or software such as BlueStack, Instagram will delete the account.

Solution: Use a phone to create your account or you can buy account.

    6. If you add a blacklisted link/URL to your account's profile, Instagram may delete the account. They usually visit the link/URL to see if the webpage contains prohibited, illegal or banned content. Also, if you use the same link/URL on the profile of multiple accounts of yours, instagram may delete the newer accounts.

Solution: Avoid linking your account to websites with prohibited, illegal or banned content. Also, don't use the same link/URL across multiple profiles.

    7. If your account is reported/flagged by other instagram users, Instagram may delete the account if the account is reported/flagged by multiple users.

Solution: Avoid using offensive content on your profile which may encourage other instagram users to report/flag your account.

    8. Instagram is going commercial and they are trying to introduce their own advertising platform. Therefore, they are pruning their user base. The pruning system sometimes generate a false report that may make instagram delete accounts indiscriminately.

Solution: If your account is deleted, you should contact instagram to reactivate the account.

In addition, please note the following:

    - The Instagram app being used on the phone bypasses proxies by default, although it can be forced. Therefore, using proxy on the phone does not necessarily mean that the Instagram app is using it.
    - The account may not be deleted immediately you create it. The account will likely be deleted when you attempt to use it.

Awesome information, Prinse. I should have focused my post around that rather then the question and answer type format. Oh well, still solid information in this thread now and that was the whole point!

The majority of my accounts that got banned was either because I commented too much, or I had crazy high settings or a user complained/reported my account to IG.

I'm not sure why this is happening but it happened to me too.
