Did you try DNS? It works well for some people. You might be able to write articles faster.

If you consider averaging at 7 minutes per article a waste of time, then this opportunity is definately not for you. 7 minutes per article is almost 8 articles in an hour. Thats roughly $16-$24 per hour, and you were complaining about that?
If I could write so quickly, I wouldn't have bother outsourcing in the first place... I would be spending 3-4 hours, a couple days per week pumping out some serious articles.
AC is slow but once you get in a grove your articles will show up as you post another.

I did all those dragon training things. Took me about 6 hours over 3 days. Now though, the only thing i'll mess up on is periods or question marks. I can spit it out in about 4-5 min and then it takes me about a minute or two to proofread. I do about 5 articles a day by myself, and then im getting the ones from the outsources too. If only AC reviewed them faster.....

I did a test article about 10 days ago and it finally approved for $3.84. I'm gonna try to do about 10 articles a day to get some money and then maybe invest in whatever the hell you guys are doing on this forum to make a lot of $$$ 
. I tried using the Dragon voice recognition, but I type really fast and for me I think that typing it is faster than using Dragon and then proofreading and correcting. I can do an article in 10-15 minutes typing which is pretty decent.
P.S. - When does AC actually send you the money?

I've had success with this since it started but there are a few things I wanted to mention.
1. It really seems that submitting a bunch of articles at a time can be a problem based on who's reviewing your articles. Yesterday I had 10 articles rejected because they "don't accept financial analysis." Well, I have about 30 articles already published and they're all financial analysis.
2. Very often when I submit a bunch of articles, they'll offer $2.24 for every one of them usually without explanation. (A friend told me he got $2.24 several times also, so that seems to be some kind of standard pay). Other times, when they aren't submitted at around the same time, they'll offer completely different amounts. I've barely ever gotten over $4 for an article. Does anybody here do keyword research to include keywords in articles? I still don't understand what determines the amounts.
3. Anybody get articles rejected for being "too broad in scope"? I wonder if that's related to keywords. And has anybody noticed if the mandatory meta tags you have to include affect anything? I'm wondering if they use that to determine what it's about, because I know they don't sit there and read your whole article thoroughly.

One more thing, if you don't get high payment when you do keyword optimization in your articles, this might be the reason: As you probably know, the primary way in which AC makes most of their money is through Adsense. So it's important that when choosing your keywords, you choose a low competition word with high Adword value.
If you use Google keyword tool to do your keyword research, just remember to choose show all form the drop-down menu so you can see the per click value of each keyword before choosing any.
