    Hey all,

I need a plugin that once an ip visited my site or post, it will be redirected the next time it visits for a period of time.

Searched my ass off but cant find something like this.

    Any ideas?

Doing that using ip's isn't reliable at all. Cookies is what you need. Most probably such plugin does not exist but i don't think you would need one at all. A custom written 20 line function would do just fine. I can help if you want.

    ^^^

Hey guys, both thanks for the input.

Not sure but i found this on a recent blogpost: Internet Explorer 8 and Internet Explorer 9 (IE8 and IE9) are still not accepting cookies from localhost.

Either way, visitors could remove the cookies and still visit my site? I know, people could also change IP lolz...

Use both methods for double protection and spoof the cookie as a google one.

in my experience less than 5% of the people clear their cookies. With that in mind that is your best bet.

Yeah that could do the trick i guess...

Not sure if we can discuss this here since cs is prohibited here although its for my own site only etc...

Not want to get in any troubles with some mods here ;)

Still looking for a IP solution.

ip->store then in a database, check the database on each visit and if found->redirect.
