I have been working around Telegram advertising for some time, and one thing is keeps me becoming more important is where the as is placed, rather than simply how many views it gets.

A few things I have noticed recently.

Niche-specific channels generally make more sense than chasing the biggest channels.
A large subscriber count doesn't always mean quality traffic.
Ad copy needs to fit the channel's audience, generic promotions tend to get ignored.
Timing can make a surprisingly big difference in CTR and engagement.
It's worth testing several placements instead of putting the entire budget into one channel.

Telegram has also been adding more tools for channel and community engagement, so I think there's going to be even more room for advertisers to experiment with different approaches.

What has been working best for you lately, direct channel placements or Telegram Ads?

Same here, niche placements have been more effective for me. Telegram Ads also works well when you test different audiences and creatives instead of relying on one placement.
