Alright, for anyone in the US it's that time of the year that everyone hates where your taxes must be paid. I know for a lot of you, it isn't that hard or time consuming, but for those of us who have to deal with the mess of Schedule C's and the like, this thread is for you to vent.

I'll start:
Instead of sending me a stimulus check sometime in the next 6 months, why don't you crackers just let me take that amount off of what I owe you?

To all the old ladies at the post office waiting to send your taxes, there are these things called computers now and they connect to this wonderful place called the Internet. You can file your taxes there and not jam up the line for an hour when I'm just trying to send out a contract overnight.

How the hell do you bastards expect me to catalog all of the receipts I get over the course of a year? Can we please simplify this process?

Yeah, it's called do away with the current system and go to a flat tax system/nationwide tax. The feds would still get money from those law abiding citizens while increasing revenue from those that try to evade paying taxes (ie illegal immigrants, drug dealers, business' that pay cash under the table, etc) plus a huge boost from tourists paying taxes on the things they buy when on vacation here.

Anyways, I got my refund several months ago...paid for my recent vacation to Cancun! :D

Who the hell do you think you are coming in here and making suggestions to the IRS that make sense???
;)

Or we could just get rid of the income tax all together and stop the gov't from robbing us every year.

I just had to write a check for $19,092.00 I think I'll throw up now. I spent about 14 hours trying to write off everything I could think of without throwing out red flags for an audit. I love making good money, but it sucks giving some away. I don't mind paying taxes too much. I know it's needed and there is nothing I can really do about it. Next year I will be more prepared. I'm such a procrastinator!
