Tags on Tumblr

Hello !

I'm trying to get some traffic for my tube with Tumblr so i'm posting some stuff at Tumblr. The basics, right ? My problem is that all my posts have more or less the same tags and boy, i put about 15 to 20 tags on each post... Not easy when you post from a cellphone, as i do for 90 % of my posts... So, my question is : is there a way to auto tag my posts, without having to write the same 20 tags on each post ???

Tumblr tag search only shows the first 5 tags used in a post, the other 10-15 tags are not seen.

If you're on PC, you can use Picloadr to mass upload images in a queue and includes adding tags to all your pictures at once.

If on phone, just stick to using up to 5 tags per post to save time.

As above, too many tags. You should be keeping your queue topped up from a PC and not have to use a cellphone for anything other than maybe if you are bored and want to reblog some stuff from it.

5 tags are recommended. So find the popular tags in your niche and use the top 5 only

Try tumblr bot from tompots.
It has 5 Tag options i mean you can have 5 tags in a line and the bot will choose one line at a time so if you want to post 5 pictures it will use 1st tag for first post,then 2 so you'll have random tags on your posts.

I use my cellphone to post on Tumblr because i do it when i'm on my train to my real time work... About 3h per day sitted on a train, i have to keep busy or i get bored big time... And like this, i can use my time in front of my pc for other taskd. So i will restrict to 5 tags. But thanks, i will see those bots, like that my pc can make some work for me while i am out !!!

Definitely use 5 tags. From experience, I know some Tumblr users get annoyed when they see a bunch of tags for a single post. Use the 5 most popular and relevant tags for your posts to get your results.

Yeah, i also use something aroung 5 tags per post. Check the most relevant tags in your niche and you'll be ok

Tags are just useful when they are aproved to tumblr official tag pages. That can mean serious traffic. Other than that anything more than 4 or 5 is waste of time.

It's understandable how you would want to keep yourself entertained on a long ride. You might consider buying a tablet that has an on screen keyboard as that will make the job of posting tags on your Tumblr posts easier.
