Super Affiliates vs Newbies

Hello everyone!

I thought I knew a decent amount about IM after (like many of you I am sure) spending a lot of time doing research. However, after I recently launched an ebook on Clickbank I realized that I am still such a newbie, it is not even funny.. I am hoping someone on this forum can advise me what I am missing in my approach as I am not attracting any Super Affiliates. Facts:

1. Product is priced at $49.99 & Affiliate Commission Percentage is 50%
2. eBook is available exclusively on Clickbank (Sales Page is noindex, nofollow, not included in SiteMap & I do not display a link to it on my main site or market it anywhere else) so that Affiliates are reassured that it is not a waste of their time. I am however selling a physical version of the book via Amazon Createspace at a higher price.
3. I have an Affiliate Program page on my site with a Clickbank sign-up link (and Amazon Associates for the physical book) for Affiliates to sign up
4. I am promoting the Affiliate Program (Warrior Forum (paid post), JVNotifyPro, FB, Pinterest, Twitter, free Affiliate Program directories, friends, etc.)
5. I gave money to 2 friends to purchase the ebook to bump Clickbank stats, but that did not bump them up in any way..
6. Information presented in the ebook has been proven by scientific research, I have successfully applied it myself numerous times and it has been tested by friends and family (100 people to whom I provided it for free prior to publishing).

I am sure that with proper marketing the product will sell. However, it seems to me that serious Super Affiliates will not be attracted by this opportunity until they see that Clickbank ranking goes way up, but I do not have say $1,000 to give to people to make these initial purchases from Clickbank to increase rating. I am guessing this is a standard situation when a new product launches on Clickbank. My question is: how to increase rating and attract affiliates in this situation?

Any insight is greatly appreciated. Please do not hesitate to ask me questions as well as I will be more than happy to share my experience and advice on how I accomplished what I accomplished so far. When launching any product you acquire as many JV's/affiliates and so on before hand.

You can only do that with a strong sales funnel (affiliate don't give a toots about the product only the $$$'s)

If you a line yourself with people in your field that have launched products before then approach them for help and offer the top guys 100% commission its the only way if you know nobody.

Then again your launch all depends on the niche.

CB has seen a dramatic decrease in top launches as they shut down most of the MMO sites that all jumped to the WSO section or Clicksure.

Its simple though to succeed big on CB you need big list owners on board that have the ability to send 1,000s of emails when you launch.

When did you launch and what do the sales look like so far from the affiliates that are currently promoting it?

Thank you for responding! I read about acquiring affiliates beforehand but I did not succeed in understanding how to do that until having the actual product. So I guess I missed out on that already.

I am hesitant about approaching people with lists because that is a paid service as far as I know and no guarantee that they will actually send info out...

From what you are saying it seems that I need to bump up commission...

You should definitely have your JV partners/affiliates in place before launching if you're expecting a nice initial return. Find a product similar to your's or in a similar niche. Type related keywords in Google to see if you can find any Google ad's running then go to the ad's and find out who's running them. If they're promoting a similar product and spending money advertising on Google, it might be worth contacting them to see if they're interested in promoting your related product. You might get lucky and run into someone with a decent size list.

But really, most super affiliates are going to want to know if your copy converts before they send their list to it. Usually, you would send traffic to your sales page and get some kind of conversion numbers that you can show to your potential affiliates so they know its already converting.

netmoney, as far as I can tell noone is currently promoting it.. Product launched less than 2 weeks ago.

That is exactly my problem. Seems that marketing on my own 1st is the solution you are suggesting.

Look at some threads in the media buying section by BHW member "wasted" - might be a good way for you to get sales rolling and also gather some conversion data like s4nt0s mentioned above. Show potential affiliates a great conversion rate and they will promote it.

clickbank is actually old method of earning & competition is very high

entertainmenx, are you trying to disinform people for whatever purpose?

I think that you should offer 75 % commission to everybody. Because a lot of affiliates only promote products with 75% commission. I know, you will get a less money from every sale, but you can get more affiliates interested in your product.
And your sales page must look good and professional.

Don't you think 50$ is too much for a ebook?

I think giving a higher commission will help attract the better affiliates, but for me the most important thing is the sales page. If it peaks my interest enough that I want to buy it, I also want to promote it.

If not, I would pass...do you have a great sales letter in place?

(ETA - I am NOT a super affiliate unfortunately but my guess is they are going to be even more fussy about the sales page)

Cape verde island and barca: Netmoney1 and s4nt0s are Jr. VIPs here, which tells me they might have more experience, and they did not mention that bumping the commission would help in this case. Thanks for your opinions though.

Yes I know that I am just a newbie on this forum.
I am not trying to persuade you in giving 75% commission.
But as an affiliate, I wouldn't even look at your product, probably not even at your sales page, because earning only approx. 25$ per sale as an affiliate is a bit less than I am aiming for. It just doesn't seem enough to pay off all the work involved to make a sale. And I am using free traffic sources to make sales.

However, I would love to hear what the experienced clickbank vendors are saying about a commission percentage, because I plan to launch a product in approx. 5-6 months so I am indeed very interested in your breakthrough on clickbank as a vendor

And if I were you, I would try with paid traffic to see if the sales page converts. Maybe google ads (if possible) or any other good ppc network

I will give it a try.I don't have an email list but i can get a pretty big exposure for like 20-25$.There are giggs on fiverr where ppl tweet to 300k followers for 5$ and some share it on their facebook groups with 3-4 mil members.I don't care if comission is 50% because 1$ has multiple values dipending in what country you are.So PM me!Cheers!

As an affiliate, I'd like to know whether your product actually sells well?

If you are in a niche where there are many other products, I'd like to know why I should promote your product and not your competitor's?

Do you offer more % commission than your competitors?

The most important thing is you need to split test various price points, sales copies, checkout processes (buy now button on homepage vs on second page) and such.

You need to prove that you have good conversion ratios. Do you have any conversion stats? Personally, I'd like video proof of good conversions. Screenshots just don't work for me.
