Suggestion on changing BHW name

Would you pay $10 to change your name?

I'm sure this could benefit both sides... Forum and members...

The idea is to simply set the price for this, for example :

$10 For the first change
$20 For the second... And so on... If you want to change it 5 times, you should pay $50.

I understand why BHW is not allowing this, but this could prevent those who might use name changing for scamming, just an example.

I'm sure there are people who would love to change their names but they don't have enough money to become JR VIP or for some other their own reasons.
In same time, they have $10 and would love more than anything to change their name.
I am also 100% sure this could potentially become one more solid BHW income.
I am more than just 100% sure BHW is losing money by not doing this.

I will use my example...

The only reason why I'm not JR VIP is because I'm not selling anything, most JR VIP are people who sell something.
Do I want to pay the price of JR VIP just to change my name, honestly? No...
Anyway, I have a plan on becoming JR VIP pretty soon.

I might be wrong, I might miss something... There might be a possible answer on "why is that not possible" that I missed.
If I did, I'm sorry...

Anyway, if this could be something that BHW crew can do it, you guys should think about this option.

I've a BHW friend he would love to pay $10 to change the name
 
I totally agree with you,even I have a plan to become a jr.vip with the budget but I don't have anything to sell so I don't think it's worth it unless you are selling something.
Even I wanted to change my name from this,can jr.vip change their name when they become one?

Yes, once you become JR VIP you are able to change your name once in a year.

Once again, I really understand the point of why are they not doing it or at least why BHW has not done it by now... But, I truly believe this can be done.

It can be done but it is not reasonable to make a paid member's benefit available to all.

I'd kick that to the curb should it come up in discussion in the Mod forums.

Anyway, you guys should discuss this option and maybe we can see it in the future.

Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm just wrong at the end... The truth is out there...

It probably won't make it to the discussion table but your ideas are more than welcome as that is how the forum evolves; in part from the suggestions of all the members.

Who cares if you're not selling something? If BHW has given you information, and you've been using that info to make more than the JR VIP price, you should pay for it. To support BHW.

I am not a JR anymore right now because I am in a tight spot, but when I do have more flexibility I will.

Just because I have not typed that, does it mean that I don't mean that?

If you said it in general, it's ok.
If you just made a judgment on what I said, ok again ;)

Sometimes you just don't say what you want, there is a reason for all.
 
personally i dont see why not.
sure being a vip allows for 1 name change a year

but as bhw is about making money for its owner
why not set a fee 10/20$ for regular members to change there name

most people dont pay 97$ vip for a name change, most do it
for a sales thread or sig renting

First of all BHW name is " Brand " for sellers

But I would say I like your suggestion for non-upgrade members who like to change their user name for $10

Is it worth it $97 to upgrade for jr vip if i don't have anything to sell on BHW?
 
As much as I like the idea of having an exponential increase to pricing for username changes, making username changes available to all members might be more trouble than it's worth. Off the top of my head, we get a lot of people buying BHW accounts, purchasing Jr. VIP, and then requesting username changes as it is. This obviously doesn't fly, but my concern is that it would make that market even bigger, which would add to our workload.

In an ideal world, I would prefer to just have all non-Jr. VIP username change requests up to the moderator's discretion. However, we'd then receive a copious number of tu quoque-style support tickets and forum suggestions feedback threads saying "what about THIS guy!? He got his username changed, why can't I!?" That, and things should definitely be more uniform on BHW so it's clear to both staff and members alike.
