Hey guys,

I was browsing the Internet to find the best Wordpress theme for an appliances store, but I couldn't make my mind. Could you suggest me a couple of themes that you have used?

Regards

Hi! I don't like to use Wordpress for an ecommerce site (I prefer Shopify), however I recommend you to use some one like Basel theme (no ref link) or other with minimal style + woocomerce.

If you are familiar with wordpress use some framework (like Headway or Blox) to make your own theme ;)

Thanks for the suggestion. Do you think that Shopify is a good choice for a local e-commerce?

For sure! It's easy and fast to create... and you can use Paypal, Stripe... as 'native' payment method.

So, it's better than Woocommerce? By the way, I just checked the Basel theme and it's pretty nice.

Yes, I think so. But Wordpress is self hosted and free... and you need to have WP knowledge to install, config and manage...

Shopify is pretty nice though but WORDPRESS is Self-hosted and cheaper

it would be much easier for you in the future if you start with Shopify ;)

I have created two or three websites with Wordpress and I have some general knowledge. Plus, I plan to hire one or two developers to help me with the details. Anyway, I think that I will be capable of managing the whole website and maybe I'll have to hire a VA to upload my products or i'll export them from my distributor's websites. By the way, they have some plugins for Opencart that use shared databases so you don't have to copy their products manually. Do I need a developer to adapt the script for Woocommerce?

Yeah, I just saw the prices of Shopify and they are not low. Don't you guys think that Wordpress is a bit more customizable with the hundreds of plugins available.

What would be the advantages and how is it better that Wordpress.

Well.
I would recommend using Wordpress. (+1)
As for the theme, I would recommend ShopIsle eCommerce theme from ThemeIsle. It's Free!

Is Wordpress free as said?

I see subscription packages on the website.

By the way what is Hostgator Quickinstall Wordpress? should I just subscribe to wordpress as I need a domain name I bought for the website

That's a nice one and it offers a lot of features. I'll have a look at it as it seems suitable for my website :)

Wordpress is free to install but some of the themes are paid. Of course, there are some free that you might choose. You will need a domain, a hosting and you'll have to install the wordpress system on your website through your hosting's cpanel.
