Sudden Ranked Drop? Google Algo Update?

Another small update today?
Or just a bad day

Today i receive 30% less traffic than the same day of the last week

Anyone having problem now with indexing back links or indexing new sites via GSC ? The index method which was very successful and usually indexed new backlink a in a few minutes (Submitting redirect to backlink via GSC) also stopped working ... Index crysis at its best , anyone was able to index a backlink lately on your own ?(not waiting for natural indexation) what tool u used ?

Three of my sites just got hit today. They were starting to get ranked in the top 10, suddenly they dropped out of the rankings. Some keywords went to #70.
All whitehat, no backlinks built. Quality hand written content, much more than the competition.

Yes, Google.de. I am using Serpbook to track the rankings. When I manually search them (with german vpn/ip) they also disappeared.

Same hosting IP each other? Or same hosting IP with the previously hitted websites?

I am happy to see that some websites have recovered, but for me, it seems like it's a downwards spiral since January. I'm losing tons of keywords every day, new articles aren't being indexed, older articles are outranked by any small website.

Hello guys :)

The ones that dropped on 16th of Dec, or 7th of January, are you back now?

So far, I have 4 out of 6 that are back, no idea why 2 have not come back but.
1) on GSC, I see again the pages mobile friendly
2) when doing site:mysite.com on Google, URLs are back :)

This is for the 4 websites that recovered. The 2 that have not recovered still have the same things (issue on GSC and almost no URL when checking site:xxx).

Happy to hear some news from you guys...hope you've good your rankings back

What did you do in the website that recovered?

0 recover on my side. My 3 website still has weird result when I site:domain.com...

My website has recovered. Traffic has been on an upward trajectory.

What date did it originally drop?

For the 4 that are back, what date did they drop? Of the 2 that are not back, when did they drop?

I just noticed my sites that were dropped in December are still indexed.

My domain when doing site:domain.com is still indexed. And each individual post is indexed as well. But when I do site:domain only 4 results show up including my domain. The rest of the results are the categories. It's still not fixed but there's no penalty since each WP post is still indexed including my domain - just not ranked.

It's better to start with a new domain, which is what I'm doing. The same thing however is happening in the index, but it might be a sandbox. I'm going to test with different hosting and other strategies to see if I can get passed the indexing issue.

same for me, I have also tried to start with a new domain without delete the old one. But today I got again the same issue on the clone fresh domain ( it's maybe because there are duplicate content with my old site ) so now I try to delete the old domain and restart with a fresh one without any duplicate content.

I don't get how you guys think switching domain is the solution, unless you think it's a penalty. I have genuine white hat links on my existing domain. To switch domains would be a major loss for me.

Because low quality links that tools like ahref can't find and having a new domain can benefit for some time until hit by new low quality links. Being white hat is not a guarantee that your site is doing well, you need to work on disavow and people find creating a new domain a more easier alternative which is bullshit. Find a better tool to look for low quality links.
