Sudden Ranked Drop? Google Algo Update?

I have a friend that had the same issue with a website that was ranking #1 on 200 kws. He added all of his urls in bulk.
He just recover #1 on 90% of the kw.
Is there an easy way to index all blog posts URL on addbulkurl or GSC than copying the whole 1000+ posts one after the other?

So a bunch of you are complaining that you got nuked on this update and first thing you know, you're using bulkaddurl.

You'll get nuked again. Deservedly. SMH.

He just said its not a manual penalty.

I don't think he knows whats going on as well. Let alone the fact that he actually had no idea what happened on 17th December just proves this.

Suddenly on 17th December Google started to re-evaluate our websites and the index went to shit...COOL STORY BRO...

EDIT: The thread on Twitter, so many german websites. I had this index/traffic problem on so many of my german websites. Seems like Google.de got hit hard with this.

It looks like he doesn't want to admit that they screwed it up badly.

He says that it might be "how the system sees your site now"...

Okay? What does that even mean? The system suddenly sees our sites as having no mobile friendly pages even though they were all mobile friendly the day before?

Weird question, but is everyone here from outside the United States? It seems like almost everyone talking about this is European with the occasional Indian.

So, if this is a bug, why this time they don't tell "Hey guys, wait it's only a bug, we are fixing it"? :/

Its really beyond how they can have no clue whats going on. He could just ask or check what happened on 17th December and on 7th January. Is it so difficult? He could just ask: Did we make any changes on these dates? Or how did the algo behave? How did the crawler behave?

They must have all the data....and Google keeps their mouth shut. So many of my websites lost their rankings and only 20% or less pages of them are in the index. No manual penalty! Why?

man, i have started doing this just yesterday. the shittiest hackiest crapiest site

Surely they'll never acknowledge it. :D

This is very demotivating.:weep:

One more time: the Google webmaster team's function is to disinform you and keep you in the dark.

That's what they always did ever since Googleguy (MC) joined WMW. He's there to throw you off and keep you away from real SEO techniques.

SEO is bad for Google, when you're successful at SEO you don't buy ads.

How many times must you hear this until you fucking learn?

You're a chicken asking the fox who's gonna be dinner.

This is a bug, there is no other explanation. Why we have all the same issues? And why with bulkaddurl the url magically appear again?

It was not the update... If you read correctly, noone here is talking about the 14th of Jan update. We'll all been affected before, either on 16th of Dec, 7th of Jan, or 11th of Jan. So it's not related to the Core update, but some kind of indexing bug... Hence the try to re-index our pages using a tool that seems to work better than GSC at the moment.

Maybe your identities leaked from SEO communities? Maybe some asshole used google docs with a spreadsheet of all his link sales clients and Google simply ran BAN SELECT * FROM FUCKING_SPAMMER_GOOGLE_DOCS_SPREADSHEET?

Ah, I forgot, Google does not use their own systems to protect themselves from spam on their most profitable product!

Nop...I'm not sure you've read the thread. Some of us, including me, don't have a single backlink ;)

So what, my website was already dead. What do i lose to use bulkadd?

At 22:50 John answers a question about similar issue that we have, he tells the same thing like those experts at Google webmaster forum about spammy content, or being hacked lol. They are obviously strictly hiding that issue.

LOL spammy user generated content. So, for big G, no issue in their side.

3 letters : L O L

of course, my site has been hacked and there's tons of spammy content I don't see .... yeah, that must certainly be why I've lost all my rankings and de-indexed.....

So on the one hand you say we deserve to get penalized for using this bulkurladder and on the other hand we shouldn't listen to Google?

What's the contradiction?

We also don't need to listen to you. No one here knows shit, we have only speculations.

Then you go on to post an official Google video. I hope the real SEO's in here know who and what to listen to.

So what, my website was already dead. What do i lose to use bulkadd?

It was already dead, so why use that tool?

Because I assumed you were trying to fix it, not fuck it up completely.
