Sudden Ranked Drop? Google Algo Update?

Hopefully we get back to normal after xmas, so much stress.

I can confirm, adult sector, 14 sites total trafic dropped by 70%
1 spamdexing site from 1800 to 300 unique visitor in a day.

Is anyone in a mainstream niche, unrelated to gambling, health, adult etc?
software

Would love to know about the niche of the websites that got affected

No, the only way to figure out is by listening to Google's statement (if any).

Well good luck waiting for that...
And I can only wait untill some random blogger who owns plenty of websites figures smth out. It can't be random random..
It's just frustrating....

Cause people having websites in different niches got hit too..

Even if you find out the niches how is that gonna help to solve the problem? Would you know the reason why your website got hit? No
I said the "niche at least" - the more info we have, the better we can understand the update.

I was hit too. I have 15 differents niches, 3 of them are destroyed ( supplement, baby and tech ), I have lost 90% of my trafic

edit : That was clean websites without any duplicate content or spammy content, I was in the first page and now I am on the fourth and fifth

remove your disavow file and you should see ranking going back..... only use disavow tool when you get hit with a google penalty; otherwise you will do more damage to your site

Not that I'm doubt you but can anyone confirm this? I did use this a few months ago for the first time and positions got down indeed. The links pointing to the website where kinda bad (imo).

Website had position #1/#2, fell down to page 2/3 and now slowly climbing up with avg. position 9.

Removing the file will do good, @fb3003?

Yes I confirm, I have read that before, never use disavow files unless you got a manual penaly.
I have removed the file disavow myself on all my websites.

To me, it's mainly expired domains + automated content + thin quality that got it hard.

I won't change anything now. I will wait for a few days and see how this turns out. My feelings are really mixed about this one. No idea whats going to happen next.

Maybe its just Google wanna earn some cash on ads over the christmas time? Many people just lost their rankings, but still wanna be on the top -> ads.

today some are dancing . back in top10
traffic is still the shit

For me it was new domains and expired domains. Some had lots of content and others only 6 pages. Its totally random.
