Sudden De-indexing Following Recent Core Update – "Crawled - currently not indexed

Hi everyone,

I’m seeking some technical guidance regarding a sudden de-indexing issue on my site. Shortly after the recent Google Core Update, a significant number of previously indexed pages were removed from the index.

The Situation:

Status: Pages that were previously ranking have been moved to the "Crawled - currently not indexed" category in Google Search Console.
Manual Actions: No manual actions or security issues are reported in GSC.
Technical Check: robots.txt and noindex tags have been verified; there are no blocks or technical directives preventing indexing.
Context: The site focuses on Cryptocurrency news and technical blockchain security analysis.

“Crawled – currently not indexed” means Google saw your page but didn’t think it’s worth showing.

Since this started after a core update, the problem is usually content quality, not technical issues.

If you are just rewriting news, Google will ignore it. You need to add something new, your own insight, data, or a different angle.

Check the pages affected. Most of the time, they are either too short, too generic or feel like AI written content with no real value.

In niches like crypto or security, Google also expects real expertise. Weak author profiles or no real analysis can hurt indexing.

Also fix internal linking. Important pages should be linked from other pages on your site. If a page only exists in your sitemap, Google treats it as low priority.

Don’t rely on the “Request Indexing” button. It won’t fix low quality pages.

Instead you improve conetnt, remove or merge weak pages or focus on adding helpful/unique value.

Simple question: are you adding real insights, or just repeating what others already published?

I’ve seen similar cases after updates, and in my experience it’s usually more about re-evaluation than a pure technical issue. I had something similar after a migration, and recovery was slow even after improvements.

I’d wait up to 2-3 weeks before doing too much. If it still doesn’t settle, then I’d look at content uniqueness, internal links, and whether those pages are actually distinct enough to stay indexed.

What steps should I take if my articles haven't been indexed after 2–3 weeks? Our recently published articles are not Indexing in Google. Please advise on what we can do.

HI,
We create our content based on sources that others have already published. We use the original source and then publish our own article. Some articles we publish very quickly.

For certain topics, like crypto hacks, we write more technical and analytical content. However, some of those articles have been deindexed, and I’m not sure why that is happening.

What should I do to recover those articles and get them indexed again? Please guide me.

If they still aren’t indexed after 2–3 weeks, I’d treat that as a quality/duplication signal, not a temporary delay.

In practice, I’d keep only the strongest URLs, improve them with a real original angle, link them from indexed pages, and merge or remove weak rewrites. Trying to force-index average pages usually doesn’t help, or only gives a temporary result before they drop out again.

“Crawled – currently not indexed” usually means Google isn’t seeing enough value or uniqueness in those pages right now. I’d focus on improving content depth, updating outdated info, and making sure each page clearly matches search intent.

Also check internal linking and remove/merge thin or similar pages.

Give it some time after updates — recovery isn’t instant.
