I used a couple of paid indexing services, a social network and a one-off cost app to try and index sets of orphaned pages created on sites anyone can post on. Speed-links was the only one of these techniques that indexed anything, and is still the service I use today, though is certainly not as reliable as it once was. With a number of new indexing services opening up on BHW and some existing services being advertised here for a while, I thought I'd do another study using these options.

I've made 7 sets of 4 contextual profiles to test the different services. I have no affiliation with any of the indexing services, and will be using paid accounts in each case, with hopefully nothing that can identify the user as me. Services are:

1) Speed-links - 'Winner' of the last study and the one I currently use

7) Control - I wont be doing anything with this set of profiles. Based on my quick research these shouldn't be accessible without knowing the direct url. If they index then I've fucked up somewhere!

The profiles all include 500+ words of text that is unique but basically spider food.

I'm leaving the pages to age until sometime next week when I will begin the test. I'll report results after 24 hrs, 48 hours, 3 days, 7 days and 14 days. I don't think people will want to pay for a service that takes longer than that.

I haven't seen any direct connection between the two services but I will keep an eye out for anything. If you have an issue with the service you should look into the Shitlist procedure.

I'm only including speed links in this study as it's the one I currently use and the one that worked from the last study. I use a standard account.
