Stealing a domain?

So today I recently came across this video that is currently in the process of going viral. Its a guy operating on a reeses peanut butter cup like a surgeon and removing the peanut butter and then implanting the reeses with the cream filling removed from an oreo. Oddly entertaining.

Well I subscribed to the channel which is called "The Food Surgeon" to watch more cool food operations, and there was only one other video from like a week ago. So this is a brand new channel that already has over 3000 subscribers which I'm assuming are real because if you google search the food surgeon the front page results are from all theses different sites and news sites sharing this video.

So me thinking that this channel has the potential to blow up, I went to name cheap to see if the domain thefoodsurgeon was available, and surprisingly it was. So I bought for the year. So I just wanted to ask the community

Is it shady of me to buy the domain?

Is there any possible way to make money with this domain if the youtube channel blows up?

Is there any value of having this domain?

Should I try to sell it?

If its worthless to me Im not to worried about the $10 loss

Would love your thoughts and opinions on this matter. thanks

I don't know if this is a thinly-veiled promotion for that YouTube channel, but it worked. That video was awesome.

Regarding the domain, fuck him. Put your contact information in there and he will likely contact you if his channel experiences growth looking to buy.

Just make sure he doesn't have a trademark/copyright on "The Food Surgeon".

Nothing wrong if the Domain was available. Milk it and if he offers to buy it from you then consider the offer.
You saw an opportunity, now make the most of it.

I watched the video. I don't think he's a real surgeon.

Anyway, you've got to take the opportunities even if it feels unethical, it's what the big companies do.

Thanks for the replies. Cool yea I figured I really had nothing to lose but could possibly gain. What if he doesn't have it trademarked now but gets it trademarked after I already bought the domain. Then what?

It could be a problem but it isn't something to worry about now, you can deal with that latter.
Get a site up now and start making some money.
It has started to go viral so get in on the action while it lasts.

Should I try and make like an actual website with content and stuff or should I just make my own parking page with advertisements and contact info?

Or what about sharing his video on Facebook but deleting the link and put the domain instead. Then if it gets shared if people click the link it will go to my parking page with CB ads, CPA, I have no idea at this point. I have hosting so I can defiantly do something.
