Hello everyone,

I am member of this forum since 2012, but never able to start anything maybe because I was lazy. Now I want to do something about it.
So here is the situation now and I know a lot of people might have asked the same question but as time changed a fresh advise from you guys will be definitely helpful.
I bought a couple of domains and I have hosting as well. I know some basic HTML & CSS but I am thinking to start on WordPress as it is easier to manage.
I am thinking to start 2 blogs:
1. Technology news(iOS,Android,Linux,AWS etc) and maybe games(PlayStation,Nintendo Switch, Windows) related content as well. As I read a lot of news websites daily.
Will that be a good idea to use the same content from those sites I read and rewrite the articles using similar images?
2. Restaurants & Food Review, I have already created a Instagram account and posted my personal reviews about restaurants and foods. I have started to get few followers and it seems good as it is just the start.
So I am thinking to divert my followers from Instagram to read my complete review on this blog.
Do you guys think, these ideas will be help me make some money in a long run?

It’ll depend on your content, easy keyword, how much time you commit no one can guarantee anything
Well that is very much true but let say I am just investing my time now and not thinking about getting any return for now. Just want to make sure that I am not wasting time.

A news site will be difficult to maintain and keep fresh in my opinion.

Have you thought about making a local restaurant directory where you and others can post reviews?

I know that there a lot of other sites out there and it will be very difficult to maintain but I read tons of sites daily just to stay updated. I was thinking to post couple of articles obviously after rewriting the whole article which mostly have 200-300 words.

Thanks for the idea on local restaurants directory. I will definitely look into that.

There are some Wordpress plugins which will display RSS feeds from any site as standalone blog posts on your site, but the articles would not be unique and I udnerstand you want your news stories to be unique. I think using a good article spinner could save you lots of time when it comes to rewriting the content.

Would be mind sharing any good article spinner?

I've heard really good things about WordAI.

They actually offer a free 3-Day Trial so you would be able to test out their service and the quality of the spun content for free.

This can be done but you need a team of writers to help.

when something happens in that niche your need to be first to post it, to get recognition.

I think this is going to be a big challenge

you must be very careful posting content that looks like others content if it from a branded website (( there mad on SUEING small guys be warned,))

your website will need to have 100% SEO perfect, I suggest YOAST PLUGIN NOT MANUAL .

your need as many articles, backlinks, images, writeups, plrs, socials, more then your competition just to get started.

wish you good luck.

Thank, I will look into that.

Unfortunately, I will be only one handling the site. Hence the reason I am thinking to work on only 2 or 3 articles daily, I will try to be constant about that.
Do you think, instead of focusing on multiple topics, if i narrow down to 1 topic only. Will that be helpful?

Both of those niches can be quite profitable, which is exactly why they are crowded. The News niche alone (even if you specialize as you said) will take a lot of time and effort to update regularly, at least if you want to stay relevant.
I would advise you to pick one and commit to it fully. See how much you can get out of 100% of your effort. Otherwise, you will run the risk of stretching yourself too thin and burning out before seeing any returns.
So, yes, you would be able to make money in any of those niches, but I would advise that you simply pick one. Running a successful blog is a full-time job. You shouldn’t try running two if you have little to no experience with one.

The niches you have mentioned above are EXTREMELY competitive, it is an idea that every possible human that wants to pursue this niche has done it already, you need to find an unique niche or a niche that is less saturated.

On the other hand, there are plenty of guides; use the search function.

Those two are competitive niche but it's possible if you do better. Research about those topics and stay updated to the latest trends and provide user intent content, choose the right keyword and optimize it. Maintain consistency and keep it active.
