Starting a Gaming channel

I don't mean to bash your dreams, but it is very hard to become popular on Youtube nowadays because there are too many people that are trying it.
It is however possible to do so, it will just take a lot of time.

You do need to have a good microphone if you want to at least start with a channel.

If you want to upload gaming footage I recommend getting in contact with a network like TGN and ask them if they can partner you, that way you can upload footage without a problem.
If you show me some of your videos and I like them I might even trow in a good word for you.

Gaming is VERY saturated and you won't go far at all unless you spend a year or so familiarising yourself with marketing, video editing and even comedy + applied psychology. Most people think they can just go in, make some lets plays and people will watch because of their personality. WRONG. People (or groups of people) with personality are plentiful and neverending, so it takes a lot more than that to be even mildly successful. To even get STARTED in gaming youtube videos, you most likely need some good connections with popular people at the start, but if you really love this path, then spend a year studying about it and that will put you ahead of 99% of people. Also, having good looks helps alot too.

Pro Tip:

1. Quality.
- Video quality (Your videos should be at least 720p with good audio/video quality).
- Your general performance. If you want your subscribers to watch every walkthroughs you will make create a quality content. Don't ever rush a game. This will build a trust on your audience. Even if you upload late there is a high chance that they would still watch you, because your content is worth their time.
- Always aim for presentable thumbnails & cover art.

2. Consistency.
- If you start a game finished it. No one wants to subscribe to a channel who always upload only "Part 1" of a game.

3. Be real.
- Don't fake your personality or act funny to appear good on the masses.
- Don't label your playthroughs as "walkthroughs" for SERP purposes. If its your first time label it as playthroughs. No one is searching for a walkthrough who are completely clueless.

4. Only talk if necessary.
- Don't talk during cutscenes because 99% of people will hate you and gives you thumbs down.

5. You need to be smart.

Don't worry about subs and fame just create quality content.

I really wanna do that but as people suggest , I'll have to remove cut scenes cause of copyright issues ??is it true?

You can't post cutscenes without permission from the copyright holder.
If you want to monetize gameplay videos you have to join a network.
A lot of networks will let you join with 1000 subs and they have the licensing to monetize the gameplay videos.
If you monetize without being partnered and without permission I'm pretty sure you'll get a strike.

Not 100% sure though.
Safest to join a network.

Arent there are any networks that can help me in the beginning ie there requirement is not like 1000 subs

If you are charismatic, have a good voice and know how to interact with your audience, then there should be no problem to get higher and higher. But don't think it's all flowers and sun from the day you start the channel. It takes time, maybe it will take 6 months, maybe it will take 1 year or 2 or 3. It doesn't matter that people upload the walkthrough right away (couple of minutes passed the sell day), people will watch walkthorugh all the time, people still watch them after the month has passed, many people still search for walkthorugh even if 2 years are passed

None that I can think of off hand.
Basically you can upload gameplay videos but don't monetize them until you hit 1000 subs and find a network

What if I buy subs ? Will they work too? Also, what are the best networks for a 1000 sub's?

I'm trying to get into it too. Wish you the best of luck!
Thanks!good luck you too!have you obtained license from games company is UniSoft , EA etc?because w/o that we just won't be able to use videos for monetization..

Not sure if buying subs will work for networks or not.
Check out Curse (Union for gamers) they are a pretty good no contract gaming network
Look at their FAQ and it'll tell you what you need to join their network

Imo, it isn't worth investing your time into it. There is a ridiculous amount of gaming channels these days and sure it is possible to make it big but the amount of time you would need to invest... Especially editing the videos, that's the most painful part. But like most things in life if you're willing to commit to it and you're confident in your ability to engage an audience that will share your content I wish you the best of luck.
