Hi
So i spent few months making videos that were already over saturated and started methods to make it popular , and the outcome was bad retention,so now I have thought to start a gaming channel but games are pretty saturated , I have seen people upload walkthroughs in minutes after the game is released , now is it worth to start a gaming channel ? I will be uploading the gameplays pretty much on the day they are released , but there are famous YouTubers who already have a ton of subs , so everyone will be watching at their channel . how can I get me channel real sub's and fame?

If you can make HIGH QUALITY videos, if you have a good YouTube personality, and if you stick with it then you will become one of the big channels.

The way you voice your videos, the personality you send out, and keeping up with all the news will determine your success

Asap1 , thanks for the reply
BTW , by HIGH QUALITY , you mean the quality (resolution) of the video or other things ?

I mean the overall quality of the video like your presentation, the information, and a clean and flowing script or however you wish to voice your videos make sure it flows well.

Look at all the top channels videos and you will get a idea, they put a lot of time into their craft.

I think you should also check out the existing gaming channels in Youtube, some of them i remember are PurgeGamers, LuminousInverse... they started from rookies and went pro.. You can see the transition from their old to new videos. I hope this helps you. :)

One of my favs is MoreConsole (http://www.youtube.com/user/MoreConsole)

He is unique and the style of his videos are amazing

The good ones always get on top, but the niche is really competitive. Maybe you can ask someone with a little fame to make a video together and upload it on his channel with references to your channel. Good luck!

before uploading / making ask delevelopers for thier permission else they will fill copyright strikes against u, and you can loose adsense montization etc
good luck

Thanks.. How can I obtain it?

I've been posting gaming videos on YT since April of 2010 and my main channel just reached 40,000 subscribers. My main advice for you is that because you missed the curve when you could just post any gaming content and it would be noticed you need to post content that stands out. When I say stands out I mean you literally have to be the best at what you do. The days of doing commentaries, guides, walk-throughs or let's plays and getting views are long gone. You have to have the content, editing or the personality that stands out in a crowd.

GenerationSEO's advice is right. Also don't aim for fake subscribers\views etc as it's pretty useless in gaming niche and risky if you are doing legit channel, you should find the ways of natural promotion but you will need money for that most of the times.

Yeah good point. Aside from having high quality unique videos I would say that in this day and age if you are starting off new you need to supplement your content with a quality marketing campaign and a lot of social marketing efforts.

Personality is you and your style etc. It means that you can play really lame games and play very bad but if you are just awesome or super fun man then you possibly can be popular.

About copyrights - tip for 90% of all gaming strikes - just disable music in games (use creative commons music) and don't include cut scenes from games into your videos.
