I am wondering what it takes to get to discover page or on charts on soundcloud. I have searched the internet and found no useful knowledge, then I thoug((ht that maybe a member from BHW might know something.

Why I am asking this is, I have released an album a few days ago on bandcamp, and even tho it got nearly 500 plays, it only got 2 sales. Since you can stream for free on bandcamp, I've decided to upload the whole album (in 1 track) on soundcloud and gain some promotion there. So far it didn't work. I've gotten barely any plays.

I would be thankful of any marketing tips for musicians. I am running a FB ad with a single from the album and it's doing horrible. Thousands of people have seen the video but only a handful clicked the link that takes them to the page where they can buy the album. The album is in digital form only. Do you think that's what's keeping the people from buying? On the other hand it cost less than 5$.. Anyways I have gotten way of topic here. Any help would be appreciated.

You need to tag Your track (s) first of all. A tip here is to use the tags With less competitions. If you want to break into the pop Charts f.e, you need a powerful boost campaign. Not possible legit, unless you are a big star With massive followers on social medias.
