I spoke to him a few times in the past and he was a nice guy. He's looking strong. I wish for a speedy recovery.

Thanks for all of your sweet replies. Saturday was his first day of impatient physical therapy, and he did well that day transferring from the bed to a wheelchair. Then yesterday they gave him a walker, and (with a therapist on each side of him) he was able to walk up and down the hall using the walker. It was the first time he has walked in about 3 weeks so he was happy. They say he is progressing much faster than most patients. He is able to get in his wheelchair by himself, and transfer from the wheelchair to the toilet, shower by himself, and everything.. The reason that is so great is because just 4 days ago he had to use a bed pan and have people clean him, and he couldnt even sit up without falling.

Anyways, thanks for all of your kind words of encouragement.
