Some high quality backlinks don't show up in GSC

I noticed that lots of backlinks and niche edits I build (I try to build high quality links with real traffic etc.) don't show up in Search Console even after a couple of months. I heard that if a domain doesn't show up in 'Search Console > Links' then it doesn't make any effect on your SEO. If that's the case, please let me know how to make sure these links show up there. Maybe I should put them in Speed Links or build a couple of links so that G bot go there and index them or re-index them (in case of niche edits).

Please let me know your thoughts.

@Mr Positive I don't control their domains so I can't index them through GSC (+ request indexing is temporary disabled in GSC).

Which paid indexer would you recommend? Speed Links?
 
Yeah, in my experience even though the backlinks get indexed they will only show up on GSC when Google sees fit. Some will never show up.

I see that as Google deliberately giving webmaster a hard time to reverse engineer their algorithm, so it's difficult for us to understand patterns with more precision. Just keep working.

every one here has been recommending speed links, but for my clients I chooses one hour indexing worked well in October, however someone here said that they faced issues so you’ll have to try one or both
 
@Mr Positive I used to have onehourindexing subsription. But I wasn't sure the tool actually works properly.

When I had it too it never worked.
Just be sure the links are indexed, you really can't control or force Google to display any backlinks on GSC.
Also know that some links really take time to appear on GSC, particularly niche edits. I've experienced that too, but I never gave it much thought.
 
I'm having the same issue, I've built some Wikipedia links one month ago and they still don't show in GSC

it takes around 3 days after submitting, if it doesn’t work contact them and ask them. Indexing isn’t guaranteed but I’m seeing all the links submitted to them index but try different link indexer and track which works best for yiu
 
It is a general problem at the moment, Google is doing a lot of shit and get more or less useless for SEO. Problem is, everyone is using google to search the Internet so you are damn hostage of this shitty company.
 
@HenryObi thank you very much for the answer. Makes total sense, especially niche edits. Some niche edits are super powerful with real traffic etc, but they went live a while ago, maybe that's the reason that big G visits them less often. But how does that correlate with the fact that these URL have organic traffic... seo is crazy these days :)
 
@HenryObi I ended up submitting all links for indexing on Oct 24 and here is what I got on Oct 25 (it might be a coincidence tho, but it is still super interesting):

Since many have already answered. If your made links are not indexed or cached they won't show up.
Make sure they are indexed In some way.

That can't possibly be true.
Many times I have had whole page(s) drop out of GSC randomly, including their links, then reappear later, and the page(s) always rank the same the entire time.
It's either GSC uses smoke and mirrors to confuse SEOs, or GSC is super glitchy.

From this result, it's safe to say they weren't indexed in the past.
 
@HenryObi looks like that for sure. I will keep monitoring this week as well. Really hoping this was the issue.
 
I wonder why folks are obsessed with seeing their links appear in GSC. If your links are indexed, then that's all you need to care about. They don't need to show up in GSC to boost your rankings.

IMO it is a bit different with niche edits. My understanding is that big G visits them less often than fresh urls.

Yes, but it only takes one visit from Google to have the link indexed. Once it's indexed, forget about it and move on to the next link.
 
Indexing is possibly the best trouble for webmasters lately. Speed links & sharing you posts over social media has decent chances.
