I just read some topic of a blogger, he written about Social Signal and SEO. He said that" Social signal is very important for SEO, we can increase your keyword positions to top on SE with Social Signal".

Do you think this is true? And the most appropriate way to use social signal to increase keyword rankings

It does affect it, then being the most appropriate way I'm not really sure

From my experiment and case study, I can tell you no, not a tiny effect at all.

social signals = normal influence of nofollow links from high quality sources + author rank + brandship.

Social signals are fine to add some diversity to your site links and engagement.
They can also help with traffic to a slight extent too.

I send social signal packages to my sites' homepage and main review pages every month. With ExpressFans' packages, it works out to be $7 or something per page. Dirt cheap.

Someone had a case study about social signals. He used real likes and from what I've seen, he actually moved up. Perhaps he was trying to promote his gig? Dunno.

But he also said that social signals reduces google dance and increase link building tolerance, which I believe he's right.

I am not sure about knowing the exact meaning of "Social Signals".
Is just a fancy way to describe traffic from Facebook, Instagram, Tumblr, etc posts?

If you do Manual with informative & catchy, it will make more leads of your SEO ;););)

Yes, social signals always help your site if it's used appropriately.Don't go with automated tools try to do manually as other mentioned.

If it's fake - no. If it's legit - you'll get traffic and eventually backlinks.

they are not improving your ranking .....

I'd also like to add that throwing a basic social signal package at a brand new site is a great way to get Google to crawl it. I've seen significant increases in crawl rate - and therefore much faster indexation rate on new posts - when I throw a basic social signal package at a new website. Of course, the website needs to have some content on it before you order the package.

I've been testing this on a few keywords, all where on page 1 before I bought them.

Keyword 1 = no change
Keyword 2 = position 1 from 7
Keyword 3 = position 1 from 2
Keyword 4 = no change

I'm still trying to decide if it actually had an effect on their rankings but its hard to tell.

Social Signals works great when they added manually and smartly

Social signals are a marketing strategy, not a backlink strategy.
