I've been doing a lot of thinking lately, and I've come to realize that a few of my facebook fan page demographics are based on location -- Sports teams, etc.

I was talking to a pretty attractive girl who has an 0kCupid account, and she claims to get a TON of messages. I know spammers utilize the site, but some very overtly and probably with little long-standing success.

At any rate, I sifted through a myspace account I have with 20k friends and found a hot young woman, threw her pics up on 0kCupid, set up my hot-spot location, answered ten match questions, and wrote out a profile that seems legit. The kicker is, instead of taking the outward route of sending them a PPC link or affiliate link, I direct them to my facebook page in my profile, claiming I don't really use 0kCupid chat, and facebook is much easier if they just add me.

My account has been up for five minutes - give or take - and the shit has hit the fan. I just refreshed from four inbox messages to TEN! Each one of these poor bastards will receive a perky little message and "add me to facebook" request.

I figure if they have enough initiative to write me a response, they will indeed add me on facebook to give me a narrow demographic based on location.

Imagine perpetuating this with multiple accounts.
