I don't know. I bought a TabletPC last year just to read ebooks on and it really sucks. The Toshiba M200 screen sucks in any kind of light, the battery life blows (3 hrs, max) and it's too heavy (4 lbs) at 10". I thought the ipad would make an awesome ebook reader but now I'm not sure because it is so expensive and the screen will probably wash out in daylight. The Nook looks like the best currently available ebook reader at $259, while the Notion Ink looks like it will be the best ebook reader in the future. The Dell Mini 5 (a Google/Android Slate) looks like it might be the best value and will come in a decent size (5" screen, like a paperback book). I'm going to wait until I can physically test all 4 products - the iPad, Nook, Ink, and Mini-5, but if I were to buy something today it would be the Nook.
