So Who's Getting An Apple Tablet Tomorrow?

I don't know. I bought a TabletPC last year just to read ebooks on and it really sucks. The Toshiba M200 screen sucks in any kind of light, the battery life blows (3 hrs, max) and it's too heavy (4 lbs) at 10". I thought the ipad would make an awesome ebook reader but now I'm not sure because it is so expensive and the screen will probably wash out in daylight. The Nook looks like the best currently available ebook reader at $259, while the Notion Ink looks like it will be the best ebook reader in the future. The Dell Mini 5 (a Google/Android Slate) looks like it might be the best value and will come in a decent size (5" screen, like a paperback book). I'm going to wait until I can physically test all 4 products - the iPad, Nook, Ink, and Mini-5, but if I were to buy something today it would be the Nook.

Im pretty sure I'll get one - I want to wait for the release of the 3g features though!

i'm gonan wait till right around november when the 2nd gen should come out for the holidays. thats way you can avoid all sorts of bugs and by that time someone will have a nice jailbreak system that wont brick or should i say tray your pad

Aww, I guess I am the only one excited for this. I know most are let down, expecting a tablet version of OSX. While that would have been awesome, this would be nice to have on the coffee table, allowing me to sit back and fool around with once in a while.

I think this was a big disappointment. We waited all this time and all we saw is pretty much a big version of an ipod.

I wasn't really impressed at all.

I need to convert a few more CPA offers then I'll get one :D

this shits a joke. the only reason you'd by one is be a trendy, they're totally useless.

they should have gone ahead and made something along the lines of a netbook...
